Poll: Re: which is better? almond, rice, or oat milk

Rice milk gets my vote. I actually prefer it to soya. I tried almond milk once and I didn't like it. One day I'll buy a carton of oat milk and give that one a try too.

I bought a tub of Sheese the other day and I think I prefer Tofutti. The two have a very similar taste but Sheese is a bit too salty for me.
  3. Re: The Chocolate Decadence Thread - for GENUINE chocoholics!

I bought a small packet of 'cacoa nibs' about a year ago and I don't think they were worth the £5 they cost. As far as I can remember they were basically raw cocoa beans, which had been minimally...

Re: What did you eat today?

I ate a 'starfruit' for the first time today. They're selling them at the Tesco near my office, along with several other exotic fruits I've never tasted before. It was nice. It's hard to describe but...

    Re: deep fried tofu ?

I've deep-fried tofu a couple of times and it's really, really good. I don't have a proper frier so I do what Tigerlily says, fill a wok with oil. Lots of things taste great deep fried, so whenever...

Re: Too little salt? Too much salt?

It's amazing how small the recommended daily intake is. I'm quite fond of salt and even though I don't eat processed food very much, I use a lot in my cooking and as a seasoning.
  9. Sticky: Re: question

I would think that it's almost impossible to die from following a vegan diet. As long as you follow reliable info on nutrition, you'll almost certainly feel healthier than you did when you consumed...

I have no idea if spelt is better for you than other flours. It's been a while since I've used it. I have made spelt bread in the past and I think it tastes much better than wheat.

    Re: Favorite vegan breakfast?

This morning I made raspberry pancakes and they turned out quite well. I mixed with raspberries into the batter. When they were cooked I added some maple syrup and it was like eating a cake :)

I can't remember seeing swallows around where I live. Are they found mainly in the countryside? I could try and find an audio recording of their call, so at least when I'm out I can listen for them.

I really didn't like that. It's so amateurish. They should have cut out the humour and just made a simple, no-frills movie about the egg industry.
  32. Re: Do you have a good relationship with your father?

I live with my dad and we get on well. We're not particularly close. I only got the chance to see him on weekends while I was a teenager, so maybe that's how we came to grow apart.
