Disaster
I went into Starbucks today and as I couldn't see any felafel wraps or paninis I asked if they had any. I was told they have withdrawn them and replaced them with a bean melt wrap...
Well, you cheered me up anyway ;)
Yes it was labelled vegan. I'm sure you're right about the grill thing though... I only thought about it afterwards :(
I got a vegan falafel panini in Starbucks today. I hadn't seen it before. It had tomato salsa, spinach and sliced tomato and was YUMMY heated up :)
It's definitely not due to pain meds or wheatbran or to a lack of onions, peppers and porridge (all of which I eat regularly).
Can stress really cause it  I had read that but I wasn't...
Hi Veggiemaya,
Like you I eat all the right foods, drink plenty and exercise regularly but I have the same problem
After suffering with it in my 30s I've been okay for a few years...
Thanks Aradia :) I think the picture's fine - it looks really yummy.
Sounds yummy Aradia. Do you have a recipe for that you can post?
I remember those - weren't they the round ones? There were two different flavours called Romanza and Romantica I think. I'd forgotten all about them - i used to love them but I guess we all learn :o
Thanks - I was really pleased how they turned out. He took nearly 3 dozen in to work and they all went so I guess they went down well :)
Thanks !!
I'm still struggling to post it but hope the link will work http://img73.imageshack.us/img73/2660/1000444zj8.jpg
They were so easy and everyone else's look so lovely I'll...
That looks lovely Aradia - but too late for the current batch. I'll post a pic when I figure out how to.
I made 3 dozen cupcakes for my OH to take to work on his birthday. I used the basic vanilla and chocolate recipes and various ideas for decorating them. Can someone please tell me how to post a...
Wow - they're amazing, especially the ice cream ones :)
Thanks Twinkle. That seems to be on most of the decorating crystals as well - yuk
Thanks for all the suggestions. I'd thought about cherries but not with coconut - yummy! I presume dark chocolate coated coffee beans would be ok too?
Now I'm confused - I googled for vegan...
It's my husband's birthday next week and he's asked me to make some vegan cupcakes for him to take into the office. Since he isn't actually vegan I'm really touched that he's asked :) and as he works...
Thanks Cedarblue - that looks lovely, I'll give it a try :)
Can anyone recommend somewhere to eat in Chester please?
Hey AMF
I just got back from a 5.5miler too. Look like a drowned rat :D how about you?
Went to Tesco last night and found they've discontinued Alpro Soya Yogurts as well
We had lunch at El Piano last week. I loved the food but agree with Kevster that it's on the expensive side - for the size of portion that you get. I thought they were decidely stingy but maybe I'm...
Thanks Fiamma...
Super quick reply, now I can get started :)
Sorry if this has already been covered but I've scrolled through and can't see it.
I've got the book and am eager to get started but I can't figure out if I should be using muffin cases & trays or...
Thanks Pookah but I'd already been there... and it doesn't have the Golden Spur chocolates Linxie was talking about :( Still, I've just ordered lots of goodies from Animal Aid so can't complain!
Talitha slopes off to a corner to sulk...
I make it into a nice coleslaw with sliced apples, red onions and dried cranberries dressed with olive oil and red wine vinegar. Yummy :)
Send it over here then... I LOVE it :p
Hi Kid,
AMF's advice is sound. All I would add is to be careful not to overtrain at the beginning - your cardiovascular system adapts to the demands of running much more quicly than your...
Thanks Scoultas - really helpful list :)
Still waiting for my copy. Are lots of the recipes based on mock meats? I've seen seitan in the shops but haven't tried it - I didn't think it looked exactly appetising :(
I'll know who to blame then :D
Gave in and ordered this and the Cupcake one. Now impatiently waiting for them to arrive
Sound yummy - shame I'm nowhere near a shop
 I've never seen these and can't find them on the website. Can you do a link Linxie?
Felece,
I made this for dessert yesterday. We had it straight out of the oven with Mocha Ripple Swedish Glace and it was absolutely divine :p if a little gooey. I think next time I'd probably give...
Thanks Absentmindedfan - some great links there :)
Hi,
Yup me too. I've just come in from a 6.5 mile run - my longest yet. I'm training for the Great North Run half marathon in September. Replaced my trainers with New Balance ones last week - I've...
Thanks Pat
I thought it might be a deci litre but couldn't remember how much that was (despite the big clue) :o
