vegan doesnt have much of an effect on my weight at all. when im vegan i still can eat nut butters (peanut butter addiction anyone?), baked goods, sugar, and other high calorie things. im working on...
usually when i try to diet i always cut calories too low (1000-1200) a day and then i have a hard time sticking to it or i binge or have no energy. so im trying a new route with 1500 a day. i'm 5'4...
i avoid onions and garlic usually just bc i find them bloating/hard to digest. i just listen to my body.
eating raw i can actually eat like 50% of my calories from fat or more and still lose weight. i eat a LOT of coconut so that may be why. i also dont overdo the carbs.
when im raw my list consists of:

romaine/spinach
coconut oil if i need more
berries
lemons/limes
grapefruits
fresh ginger

im planning on experimenting with a low carb vegan ice cream using coconut milk and stevia (and whatever flavorings i want) to help satisfy my sweet cravings. i'll let you know how it turns out.
