I found this Vancouver-based business, which produces eco-friendly (obviously vegan) soya candles. It's worth a look. :)

What have I been doing away from there so long??? :D It sounds like I might have a third home. ;)
- raw cut carrots with raisins

I am excited for you, Roxy! :) I wish you the very best on your new journey. A friend of mine made this raw vegan sushi that was TO DIE FOR! I'm going to have to ask him for the recipe and I can...
I like Cumin's suggestion very much as well. It's a shame it already exists.
Here are some other ideas:
* Lovin' from the Oven
* WM & B (Wake, Make, & Bake)
I'm not full of...
You're welcome. I wish you a safe trip and a good holiday. :)
Cheers, Korn! :)
As for that person, "unbelievable" is more than an understatement at my reaction to what he/she said, which I am lost for words as to how to say them.
I found some places that seem to be willing to cater to vegans. I've included their contact information to (in case you wanted to inquire). Be sure to notfiy them (in case they don't know what...
I love herbal tea. :) I've never drank tea with soya milk though.
I love dates. I could easily become addicted to them! :)
Ogi, those corn sprouts look delicious! I'd like to start sprouting, as I am very interested in becoming raw (maybe not 100%). It also should not be hard, as I am wheat and gluten intolerant as...
Hi, Marrers.
I have been to---and have friends in--Switzerland. I'm afraid I can't give a first-hand account of that part of Switzerland (as I have only been there to catch an aeroplane). If you...
Thank you, everyone. :) Well, I won't be needing a car to be checked. :D So, it's not quite like it is at the airport?
Oh, okay. Thank you for the insight.
I might have heard that you can travel to the UK in them and not be questioned by immigrations officers like one could be at an airport. Is that true? I really want to go there (for holidays/time...
There certainly are! :) There are also plenty of shops in most---if not all--of Austria where you can buy your own food.
Go to www.happycow.net , click on Europe, click on Austria, click on...
Quite right, Harpy. In fact, a friend of mine was diagnosed with IBS and thus had to remove wheat from her diet. She was raw vegan, but after her diagnosis she was advised to eat some cooked food...
That's something you could always PM Korn or any of the other admins about.
You're welcome, Val. And good luck with the recipe. :)
I highly recommend Dr. McDougall. :) Here is his website with quite a bit of good resources. www.drmcdougall.com
I ended up checking only one because it stuck out to me the most. I really need to learn to be more positive about myself and make myself be more assertive straight away, rather than waiting until...
I love herbal teas! My top 3 so far are peppermint, chammomile, and catnip. I'm willing to try anything herbal (and no caffeine---whether it's naturally present or not). Other herbal teas I enjoy...
That's fantastic!!! :):D:)
Me too! Beware of a tea addict about to post... ;) :p
I'm teetotal by choice (I don't like the smell of most alcoholic beverages anyway--and smell is one of my senses that I trust most :D ). However, if others choose to drink, I don't mind (to each...
I agree with Risker. It sounds deficient of many essential nutrients and also like another fad.
Sadly Switzerland is one of those countries too. Germany does have alternative schools such as Montessori schools though.
I'm sure it's an acquired taste. Nevertheless, those colleagues sound like omnis. In my opinion, it's worth the "stink". :D
Re: the thread, I have a friend who's raw vegan. I'm just vegan...
I would say Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Wer-Rabbit, but Wallace eats cheese. :( Aside from that, I love that series and that film does have animal rights-friendly subtleties.
I was wondering if anyone can speak Czech or Slovakian. The reason I wonder is that I am corresponding with someone who I may work for in the Czech Republic (she told me her English is not very...
I know of a vegan British Columbia-based tatoo artist (Sarah Kramer; she's also an author of many cookbooks), which is on the other side of the country though. Her website is...
Yippee!!! :D Thank you!
Thanks, rantipole. :) I actually believe I was having a discussion about it on the phone with my friend ("Rosehips" from the forum). That's intriguing that it may help lessen nicotine addictions. ...
I got stung by bees 7 times throughout my life---all of those times were during my pre-vegan days. Not only have I not gotten stung since being vegan, but I also overcame my melissaphobia ("fear of...
I couldn't agree more! I could see myself becoming that way later in life. :D
I've become a tea addict. :p I drink only herbal teas (since they have no caffeine and no additives). I've come across catnip tea, which intrigues me. Although, I want to make sure that it isn't...
With my new job, I am allowed to take a holiday (or even a few). I told my employer how I want to take a holiday during late December to early January to make the New Year's party. As well, I told...
These links/articles are very helpful and insightful---they have been for me at least (as I am wheat and gluten intolerant).

Thanks, Cherry. The fact is that I only have enough money (give or take a pound or two) to pay for a night at the guest house. I won't be able to afford anything else--not even a Mega Bus. Whoever...
