It's very mild with a bit of sourness, a bit of coolness and a bit of saltiness.
Reminded me of cottage cheese in taste, thought not texture. Texture is very wet and soft.

Me too :)
Tis very low fat (for a cheesy thing) if you're bothered by that sort of thing. Shame they don't fortify it, though.
We had some Redwoods chicken nugget things. Tasted very much like greasy chicken drumsticks, with a realistic texture too. Bit too realistic I think, actually. :undecided:
We stick the sausages straight in the freezer when we buy them. Only had one mouldy pack - and that was ages ago.
Yeah they did seem almost healthy with lots of added fibre - presumably for texture. We had them with spring greens, mash, and gravy. Deep fried in batter in a bun might be good.
We had some Asda Meat Free Vegetarian Chicken Style Fillets the other day. They were really pretty good.
Anyone else tried them yet?
Before Christmas. In date. Labelled vegan. Yeah, I think I thought the same last year.
It was better presented than the Sainsbury one, at least.
Matthew Walker had a vegan pudding that I found in Poundland last year (for a pound, ha ha). They usually sell for more than that.
As for mince pies. Might be an idea to make your own. Most of...
Can you still get Swedish Soft? I emailed the company that makes it and they said it had been withdrawn and would be off the shelves for at least a few months
I eat loads of them :o
They're like penne pasta in a bag :)
Not tried boxty or yellowman (though that sounds like cinder toffee). Is treacle bread not veganisable?
I haven't had any since being vegan. But I know that there are a couple of brands that are vegan, and I do love the stuff.
Mmmmm - I like potato bread. And dulce. And stout.
Can I be an honorary Irishman?
I just stick the potato bread in the toaster and then munch on it dry :)
I'm a big fan of crispy mock duck with pancakes, cucumber, spring onions and some kind of sauce.
The pancakes are hard to find, but I found that Morrisons stocks them with the Chinese foods, so...
I figure the Nakd bars are almost meal replacement bars - lots of fairly healthy calories. So compared to the price of a tub of noodles they work out quite reasonable.
Saying that, I think I got...
Maybe that's the answer - I've never managed to get the balance right either. I gave up after 2 tries a few months back. :o
The garlic and coriander ones are really good :)
Hope we're all invited:eek:
Back on topic (glares at saucy and tabs:p)...
Nakd and Trek bars are yummy. www.naturalbalancefoods.co.uk
The Nakd bars are raw.
I just had a cocoa brownie trek bar for brekkie with a blood...
Yeah, found them, too. Forgot to get some more, though. Doh.
Shame it's only the one vegan flavour :(
Hope you like them better than I did.
It was only very recently (as in last week or two). They are labelled vegan on the packet.
I did the same and bought some and they are utter crap. The pastry tastes of cack. The filling is pretty much just potatoes. Bleeuuurghh!!! I had them warm, mind. Maybe cold they would be less...
The stuff I was on about was not long life and tasted as good as the real thing from a curry house.
Sainsbury do really nice mini naan breads that are vegan. That's the first vegan naan-breads I've seen and they are damn fine.
I dunno if all branches stock them as I've only seen them in one of...
