  2. Re: Why "wheat free"? Is wheat bad for you?

Re: What did you eat today? (5)

It's basically the same as the grain quinoa, but thickened up a bit to make it more mince-like. You can also buy quinoa chunks, for meals/sauces with more of a texture :)

    If you're from the UK...

    Re: Do we need fridges?

But yeah if you don't really use one, it...

Re: egg replacer - recipe ideas??

Glad to hear your cake turned out semi-ok Emma!

What's actually in egg replacer, does anyone know? I'd like to try baking a few cakes from a candida recipe book that I'm following, but most of...

Re: How do you look at your past as a meateater?

I totally agree and that's the way I like to see it. I don't see the point of looking back and hating yourself for eating meat or anything else, becuse we all do things that at the time feel right. I...
  12. Re: What do you eat when you really don't feel up to it?

Either rice cakes with hummus or pasta in a tomato sauce :)

    Re: Vegan snacks

I usually snack on rye crackers or rice cakes with hummus or sometimes pinto bean dip. I also like pumpkin and sunflower seeds. If I'm really hungry I'll have an extra bowl of cereal or some soup.

Re: Cooking with oils is bad?

I heard that cooking with saturated oils such as coconut oil is better as they are more stable at higher temperatures? Does anyone know is this is correct? I don't really cook with oils much anyway...

Re: How do you look at your past as a meateater?

I don't hate meateaters, I just don't agree with what they're doing. Most of my family and my closest friends eat meat. I did too, up until a year ago. I think a lot meateaters are unconscious...

I'm also trying to follow a candida diet. I was worried that it might not be compatable with veganism as most books on candida seem to recommend lots of meat/fish and not much rice, pasta etc. But...
