I tend to make a ginormous bowl of chocolate oatmeal with whipped banana, banana slices on top with loads of mixed nuts and peanutbutter on top... Probably not the best thing, as it is probably...
Breakfast: Oats in a Jar (PB on the bottom!) with whipped banana, peanutflour, carob-sauce and some sugar-free strawberry jam
Lunch: hot-sauce glazed tempeh (Veganomicon) with raw cauliflower...
Thanks for the tip! I didn't have much hope of finding a veg restaurant/cafe in Durham anyway. Though it would be nice of course, but I can live with a 10 min ride on the train :P
*Droool......*
OMG, I NEED those oats... NOW! So pretty!
I'm the same way, though I love raw food, I don't think 100% is the thing for me... I believe that some cooked food in your diet is good! I have cut out the "four evils" and keep my diet very simple....
Here I am again! This time with both a dinner and a dessert picture!

Ooo! I've never had Welsh cakes before! What are they like? And how do you make them? :D
Yes, they were really really good! Especially the last one! Lucky for me that I was alone when eating it, I sounded like a complete nut-case, 'mm'-ing and 'aah'-ing the entire time!

I have been keeping a food journal for about a month now. I find that it really makes me have a varied diet. I make it a game, how long can I go before eating the same thing again? It's a lot of fun...
There's a lot of different sites for raw food! I use vegweb.com, goneraw.com, rawfoodtalk.com etc. I also recommend finding some good raw food blogs! There are a lot of them out there! And find a...

I'm planning to study in the UK next year (either Edinburgh or Oxford) and I really can't decide! I know that Edinburgh's awesome,...
I'm currently contemplating going raw, leaning mostly towards fruitarian, though haven't really come there yet. My breakfast is ALWAYS raw though, as it's mostly just one thing:

Actually, is the raisins are sundried, they're raw :D Which is awesome, since I love raisins :3
I voted no, even though I do believe that nutrition is something everyone should be concerned about, whether they be meat-eaters, vegetarians or vegans.
But I do think that vegans are more aware...
I somehow found that quite fascinating, the thought that veggies are looked upon as "dirty" and more like a spice, while in our Western world, even the biggest meat-eater would not dare to critisize...
Wow, there's hours of reading-material here! I'd better start reading or I'll be up all night! (Not that I mind though ;))
Oh my, now THAT sounds like a real treasure of a job!
Whatever you do; don't let it go ;)
Or, if you decide to do just that: give me a tip and I'll be sure to replace you :o

I'm not sure if we're going to Rome though, my father was talking about Pompeii I think?

Hi!
I was wondering if there are any good vegan restaurants/cafés in Bergen?
I don't often go out to eat, but when I do (once in a blue moon, being a poor student and all!) I want to eat...
I've joined!! This is such an important issue!!
In our garden, we have a spot that's completely over-grown with raspberry and blackberry-bushes and during the summer I can always hear the buzzing from the bees, enjoying the berries! I love that...
I was searching App store on my iPhone today and found an "animal-killed counter" :(
I would've liked to download it, just to show people how many animals are killed for our enjoyment every minute...

I am totally and utterly addicted to spinach and broccoli. I eat it ALL the time (have it on toast, in smoothies, stir-frys you name it!)

I am so loving this thread ;)
Okay, a typical morning for me would be:
Wake up and do 45 minutes of yoga and meditation, then pour myself a cup of coffee. When I've finished this, I make a...
I just hands-down ADORE this book! I stumbled over it while shopping in London and I must say that those were money well spent!
I've even started checking off each recipe as I go along, just to...
As Andy_T posted earlier, "Veganomicon" is a GREAT cookbook! I recently bought it and it has all sorts of recipes, from the one's that take 10 min to the more complicated, formal dinner-type dishes....
When I first went veggie (lacto-ovo) I used to think that I'd NEVER become a vegan. That was just too extreme. But after a while, I sort of realized the benefits of a vegan diet and lifestyle. But if...
When I first went vegetarian, I was constantly asked whether I got enough protein. Now, after reading up on it, I have learnt that this is not an issue if you eat a healthy, balanced diet.
Then I...
