I'll be there - from open til close!
Seems he went cold turkey.
hi kanopa,
Scoop is a non-vegan gelateria that does vegan gelato and sorbetto. The Dark chocolate sorbet is particularly fine.
My (until recently) local sainsburys always had freezer problems - only ever in the veggie section on one side and in the Swedish Glace-containing freezer on the other.
Uber frustrating.
Jo has a replacement me now :-(
I was up in Manc this past weekend. Earth cafe was better than ever - prices seem more affordable (perhaps it's London that's made me think that?), and the food quality/portion size was great.
...
I was in the Altrincham (Cheshire/Manchester) branch a short while back and they have got rid of their fridge/freezer altogether. Spoke to the manager who said that, because of the complaints...
just so folks know - walked down Brewer Street the other day and Vegan Routes has now gone. Not just closed, but gone altogether.
We were in Brighton at the weekend and got pizza from Pizza Face delivered to us on the beach. Oh my, it was heavenly! Jo had the margherita, I had the Vegetarian - both with vegan cheese....
I concur. If you want milk-like chocolate this (or waitrose/sainsbury's own-brand "free from" ricemilk chocolate) is the best one. Tastes like galaxy!
Though I'm a dark chocolate man myself.
Ah, good to know it all went smoothly - I might be visiting Italy in the future so it's good to know what to look out for :)
Hello again, delicious Vegan Londoners.
Just to let you know, I have a stall again this Saturday, from 9.39-4.30pm at The Deptford Project.
me too. I'll be trying it out in a few weeks Well, I already know the food is good (had a breakfast and cake when chef was at Mod Pop), so I am hoping for the same!
Also, I went to Unpackaged once and didn't buy anything - far too overpriced. seems to be aiming for their (obviously) wealthy Islingtonite neighbours, rather than opening well-priced bulk food...
All their dry goods (grains, pulses, seeds, nuts etc) is in bulk, but they also have bioD washing up liquid, rice milk, toothpaste, tofu and loads more. Everything there is vegan (so i'm sure will be...
thanks! Spread the word :D
aye, but it's good for the local community in that because the "staff" are unwaged, and the building is a squat, they can keep prices down.
The bookshop at the back is good, too.
Hello everyone!
Just to let you know, I (i.e. BOOM! Bakery) have a stall this weekend! Saturday 12th June from 9.30am-5pm at The Deptford Project.

yup, i got to fareshares quite often - great way to avoid wastage and keep costs down.
Surrey Quays H&B's fridge/Freezer is also very conducive to furry sausages and soggy burgers.
I don't go there any more.

I'll see what they say, and get back to you. But I think they want someone asap. But who knows!
You never know, my stall might get very busy over the next couple of months, so I may need an...
Attention vegans of London!
Y'know like I work in a vegetarian takeaway in the City (The 5 Elements)? Well, there's a 3-hour-per-day opening, involving the following:
- preparing the serving area...
that is bally good value! Considering that where I get it (tesco) is £1.29 as standard, this is cheaper! :)
whenI get the chance, I will also get the addresses for all the London pizza express/wagamama/H&B locations.
If users could do the same for their part of the world we will see a very...
