Good place to stay in Montreal?

    Hey everyone,

  3. Poll: Re: "Honestly: Do you think vegan food is as tasty as the food you ate before?"

I definitely enjoy food more now, as a vegan, for two basic reasons:

    1) I now know how to cook. In fact, when I decided to go vegan, I quickly decided I must also learn to cook immediately. I was...

I think if I had to choose only one, I might get the new one. But the second, Vive le Vegan! is also stellar. The first one, The Everyday Vegan, isn't as exciting.

    Re: Veganomicon

I just tried a few new things over the weekend:

    Re: Nut-free pesto

Ditto. Nut allergies confuse me. Peanuts are actually legumes but they're likewise generally associated with proper nut allergies, as we all know.

  14. Re: Would you be a vegan if it harmed the environment?

The thing is, even if veganism were bad for the environment it doesn't follow that an omni diet would be good for the environment. It wouldn't. So, if there were no way to avoid serious environmental...
  15. Re: Would you be a vegan if it harmed the environment?

I would definitely still be vegan if it were bad for the environment. I'm glad that it's better than eating meat for the environment, but the environment had nothing to do with why I went vegan.

  18. Re: I'm feeling drawn to Canada... are there many vegans in Canada?

Last count, there were 54 veg restaurants in Toronto. I'm not sure how easy it would be to get a job though.
