    i just made some rolls today, 4 with nigella seeds on and 4 with dried herbs on - now i've got a 1/2 & 1/2 loaf mixing up too. we used to waste a lot of bread when we bought it but it all goes now...

    i think the idea is that the milk powder will rehydrate with the water and act with sugar and yeast to make a slightly lighter loaf.
