    ^probably the same reason as many other vegan foods are dearer; there is a smaller market for it, so they don't sell as money, so need a higher profit margin. Also, as there's no competition for it...

    I always avoided so good because of the fact it was soy protein isolate. Now if I see it on offer I won't hesitate to buy it.

    I second the seiten. I also think you'd have good business selling cheap yet tasty vegan chocolates and sweets/treats, and of course vegan marshmallows.

    My tesco's used to do blue dragon tofu for 99p a pack, then it went up to £1.20 a pack. Now it's gone altogether :(
    I now bulk buy 6 for £8.00 from a local whole food shop.

    I whole heartedly recommend the tesco's brand of fresh soymilk. I drink the unsweetened, but the sweetened is also very good. (and cheaper than Alpro :p)
