Re: New changes for single parents

And if you don't find work you get sent on a Welfare to Work course (like the one I run) and get 'coached' back to work. Depeding on the course this may be very helpful (getting you a good CV,...

    Re: Weightloss & running

If it feels harder, it is harder. Treadmill running is easy as it regulates your pace and the gradient. 'Real life' running is less consistent. Just build on what you can running outside, you'll...

    Re: Vegan and erectile dysfunction

Firstly, sometimes your sex drive will naturally decrease or increase. It might be stress, you might not be in great shape or it might just be a 'down time' for your libido (pun intended)
    Hmmm...the...
  4. Re: Vegan hobbies in London - other than eating

We've posited the idea of a London photography meet as several of us have digital cameras (of course, film being an animal product)

    Bike ride sounds cool too.

Generally we tend to meet up, sit...

Are you kidding? London, being a river basin, has nearly all its suburbs on reeeeeeeeeeeealy big hills. We live on the Kent border and there are plenty of places to go downhill. Fast.

    Re: Running etc.

Ah, a supinator just like me :)

I'm running with the New Balance 1061s and I find them very supportive. A little too heavy for me (my last pair were super light) but they're bouncy, comfy and...

    Re: Wasp Nest

Could you smother you neighbour's house with jam? That'd keep them away from yours for a while.

You'd need a lot of jam though.

Re: weight-loss foods that are cheap and filling

Cut out all processed foods. Don't eat anything that has more than 15% fat (15g per 100g). Fill up on beans, pulses, pasta and rice. Try to eat wholegrain versions of pastas and breads, and brown...

I buy it dried from health food shops (the descriptions on the back are quite helpful in terms of their flavour). soak it in hot water and chuck it in tofu stir fry.

When it's really hot (HA!) I think a post-work weekday evening picnic/dinner would be nice. Chilling out in the park after a long hot day at work.

    Re: Weightloss & running

Eat plenty (2000+ cals a day) lots of carbs, fruit and veg and lots of water. Aim for 60% carb, 25% protein and 15% fat as a rough idea. Keep fats to unsaturated, natural fats in nuts, avocados etc....
