I'm not so sure. I'd much prefer people to be buying free range chicken than from more intensive farming methods, although I'm well aware that it would not be sustainable for everyone to do this....

I don't like Tofutti either but my son love them. Didn't know there were any Cheezly slices though. Where do you buy those Sandra?
Damn I knew it  I'll have a look anyway but won't hold my breath :(
So are these doughnuts found in the bakery section or amongst the cakes? None of my local co-ops have a bakery. I hope someone tells me they are amongst the bread or cakes *is hopeful*

I need more opinions - What is an appropriate amount for a 14 year old boy? I currently give my son £10-15 per week but my partner thinks thats too much. I reckon most kids get at least that much. Am...
I'm really annoyed with Asda right now. They've got rid of the chicken style fillets from the frozen aisle and replaced them with some similar ones from Grassington. The Grassington ones are 50p...
I don't bother with choc chips. Instead I just cut up a block of vegan chocolate into small pieces. Its cheaper. Thanks for the recipe, I'll give it a go later :)
I just had a look on their website but its not there. Its in a small tub with a picture of a slice of bread with the cheese being spread on. It says alternative to soft cheese on the back of the tub...
Tesco are doing that too and also with Alpro yogurts and cream cheese. Don't bother with the cream cheese though, it's rank.
I think so yes. Can't see anything non vegan in the ingredients so I buy it.
Childofthetrees I agree about some of the eighth day staff, one member in particular has been rude and unhelpful to me on more than one occasion and most of the food is quite bland. I much prefer...
So which donuts are they? They do several different ones don't they? I'm sure I used to buy them in a pink bag and there are some in plastic punnets.
Hmm I wonder if my Asda only got these in to compete with the new Morrisons thats due to open in 5 days. Whatever their reasons I hope its here to stay :)
Loads of different Redwoods stuff is in Asda, including vegi deli beef and chicken slices for just £1
Pure margarine tastes good, but not as good as butter. I'm interested to know what this M&S one is too.
I chuck guinea pig poo on my garden. I have 7 guinea pigs and they produce an unbelievable amount of poo so I just sweep it up and it goes on the garden. It must do some good because I saw them use...
Dreama I would help you if I wasn't so far from Birmingham. I hope you find someone soon.
Yeah I think those are the ones. Never understood why they put it in tubes
Sarah I have one of those too. You can use it for anything in a tube. I find it really useful for those vegan pate spreads (can't remember the name). They're in a metal tube and really hard to get...
Thanks Shrapnel, I'm just good at hiding it though :p
I have 3 overweight friends who live nearby so I'm planning to ask them if they want to do regular bike rides to the park. I sometimes go on...
Yeah the doctors will only prescribe them to people who are very overweight but they can be bought over the counter, they're just very expensive. A good friend gave them to me and she got them from...
I've been eating a lot healthier the last few week and just started going back to the gym. I think this has helped a lot with my depression. I feel happier than I have for a long time. I really want...
Thats good to know, thanks for posting Alison :)
What things does she want to eat that are not vegan? I have 2 sons. One chose to be vegan and the other is veggie however he doesn't mind eating vegan when he's here, although he prefers dairy cheese...
So is the Bodyshop more evil than Cussons, and if so, why? I would like to start buying from the Bodyshop again but would prefer to do so without guilt or wondering if I'll be frowned on by other...
How strange. I was querying this myself in another thread just a few hours ago. So how come Original Source is ok for vegans to use even though its made by Cussons but The Body Shop isn't ok?
There's Veganstore. Seems to be the same as the one we have in the UK and thats fantastic. You can get all kinds of stuff there.
Theres differing opinion on whether or not gluten makes PMS worse. I've tried to cut it out but its too hard and gluten free stuff is expensive and nasty tasting. I too wish I could know if it...
I get pregnant easily, although I was only veggie at the time. I got pregnant within a month when trying then I got pregnant again whilst using a diaphragm and spermicide.
KayJay, theres Barry M if you want something off the high street. I love their Dazzle Dust, and keeping on topic they have an offer on nail polish at Superdrug, 2 for £5 :)
^^ What she said :)
Of course :) People who dislike people just because they have a differing opinion irritate me. Having said that I dislike people who don't care about animals. Hmm.... oh well, thats different so its...
I think it acts as a thickener. I think thats the reason, I could be wrong though. I just know that in a cupcake recipe I do, it tells you to mix the vinegar with soy milk and put to one side for a...
So what do you do when you take the tofu out of the freezer. Do you let it thaw then squeeze or cut it up and cook it from frozen?
Poppy's sweet. This is my Poppy :p

I did it with Cauldron tofu too. Maybe I should have cooked it from frozen. I let it defrost first then squeezed the water out as usual. It tasted pretty much the same
^^ I've tried that, didn't seem to make much difference. Are you supposed to squeeze out the water before freezing or not?
I've never seen a recipe for vegan cream of soups before. They look great, thanks for posting.
I haven't tried this yet but I have tried several of there other products and I was really impressed http://www.naturalelements.co.uk/restoring-eye-gel/
