    Re: Operation Missing Link

Hi, I think David Attenborough and Noam Chomsky should go vegan. They must have considered it but for some reason haven't. It sounds like a great idea you have as there must be many people who...

Re: Veggies are no better than Omni's really.

Very true, dairy and eggs kill & enslave animals same as meat does. There's no moral distinction I can see.

So sad when I hear vegetarians say "oh but I could never give up cheese".

    The...

    Re: Veganism in north-eastern Germany

Me & some friends just had a trip to Berlin. There's some awesome vegan places there :-)
  4. Re: The most fun article about veganism in 2013?

The writer of that article has also quoted from "the Weston A. Price Foundation", a group set up by the meat industry to try and sell more animal products.
I agree that veganism is getting more...

I've just bought some pea protein to add to smoothies etc. The first one I tried didn't taste very nice. I made another one this morning that I liked that was: 1 banana, a table spoon of raw cocao...

I can't follow the link for some reason. I'm curious if there are still other benefits from omega oils?
I get mine from hemp seed/oil anyway because I love it on salad :-)

Re: Positive (side) effects of going vegan

    Ha ha that's great.

One positive I have found is being a part of a sub-culture (if that's the right word) where the vast majority are really nice, friendly welcoming etc. even if they don't know...

You're in luck. Go on meetup.com and search "leicester vegetarian & vegan group". There's over 90 of us on there, many are vegan. There's regular meals n events. Also there's a group that meet at the...

Re: Are you an abolitionist or a welfarist?

Well yes why shouldn't they promote veganism? If for arguments sake the life of a cow is equal to the life of a dolphin, I imagine that a far greater number of lives would be saved if they at least...

  14. Re: PETA to Nevada kids: Would you eat your dog?

I agree that maybe they could have just not put "kids" on it. Surely the complexity of the argument is unchanged so kids would still understand it. Then they could avoid all the criticism the're sure...

  17. Re: How can I eat enough calories and get all my nutrition while restricting fib

AFAIK most people could do with more fiber. What diet is it that says you should restrict it?

Don't high calorie foods that are low in fiber...

Re: Vegan Society's new video - your response

I like it, but think maybe there could be a little more in there. I like the linking going vegan to the famous activists shown from history but think the animal rights part could be stronger somehow.

Great news, shows that activism can have an effect. It's a shame they seem to put a negative spin on a positive story though.

Re: "Veganic" does not equal "Vegan"
