Re: need partners for healthy weight loss

Well, I am truly down in the dumps right now!

I conveniently "forgot" my food diary (that I've been keeping since 14 Oct) over the weekend and used it as an excuse to eat whatever I wanted...

Well, just dropping in to let you all know how it's going!

Have gone from 12st 1lb down to 11st 7lb but am having a bad week. Just being lazy foodwise and indulging in sweets. So far I've been...

Re: need partners for healthy weight loss

    Well, so far so good!

Have managed to steer clear of my usual weak spots. Had a hot chocolate yesterday while I was out, which no doubt had a fair few calories in but at least I've not had any...

Re: need partners for healthy weight loss

    Good idea. =)

So far so good! I stuck for fruit and veg for snacking yesterday and had a stir-fry for dinner.

Went shopping last night too, to stock up on fruit to nibble.

    Today it's...

Re: need partners for healthy weight loss

Does anyone want to revive this thread with me?

I originally weighed 18st 11lb (before I was vegan) and

    Just wanted to say:

    1) The Art Cafe rocks!

    2) My boyfriend has just started a job in Winchester...does anyone know of any new vegan places for him to try out? Or vegan friendly...

    Re: Sources of fat

Hmm, I wonder if I eat too much saturated fat. I eat maybe a bar of dark chocolate a day...and a few sweets here and there...and a desert each day (alpro soya chocolate desert, ice cream or...

    Sources of fat

    Hi guys

I'm reading The China Study at the moment and have just got to the bit about fat and breast cancer but have had to stop reading and go back to work.

I (obviously) don't eat any animal...

    VBites - anyone been/going?

I heard about Heather Mills opening up VBites in Hove. My boyfriend (the omni, surprisingly enough) suggested going there.

I just wondered if anyone has been there yet or is going?

    I think...

Re: Does anyone NOT suffer from hayfever?

I've always lived in Hampshire and always in the-bit-between-they-city-and-the-countryside and have never had hayfever (touch wood). My dad gets these hysterical and disgusting sneezing fits though...
  12. Re: Awkward Eating - How to get the most out of not much food

Don't forget bread and cereal (if you can fit some soymilk in the fridge).

Bread gives way to many possibilities - baked beans on toast, jam on toast, sammiches.

    Re: Sudden hunger?

Hmmm, I do quite often snack on fruit and veg, so maybe it's just not filling me up.

It's difficult because I have just lost a lot of weight (8 1/2st) and so I'm cautious about eating more...

    Sudden hunger?

I've been vegan for about four months now (not long, I know!) and since become vegan I'm sure the type of hunger I experience has changed.

When I was veggie, I would get a slow, hollow hunger...

    Re: Afternoon snacks

Thanks...I was kinda thinking along the healthy-and-satisfying lines, so I guess they'd have to be healthy-and-satisfying cookies?

    Afternoon snacks

    Hi

I tend to have fruit (apples, pears, clementines, oranges etc) in the afternoon as a snack but I've noticed that I'm frequently feeling really tired around 3-5pm and someone suggested it could...
