Well I can say that's true for me when it comes to asparagus. I hated the stuff, until a forumer suggested I roast it. Now I quite often eat it roasted in the oven, coated in bit of vegan parm...
I never attempted a vegan lasagne in the 4 years that I've been vegan. And cornmeal crusted brussel sprouts.....gah.....just the thought gives me shivers :D
With raw or cooked mushies?
What a disappointment! Mandarin marinated tofu sounds lovely though.
So Rant, you've just given yourself a good excuse to try the recipe again :D
Thanks for the ratings Alex! I like to cook with recipes that have been tried and tested already by someone else.
Poison Ivy, the soup and lemon bars look scrumptious!
Check Asian markets. Sometimes they unexpectedly have good stuff like that at relativelty cheap prices.
Ah ok. That could be why it's also so expensive.
With regards to the vital wheat gluten....is it possible to make it yourself? I went to a Chinese restaurant last night that uses vital wheat gluten in it's faux meat dishes. They make it in...
Actually lol, it sounds pretty good :)
Awww that's too bad Ruby. Better luck with them next time! Did you eat them by themselves, or in a burger?
Huh.....there's no way Safeway would stock anything like that up here :( It's more of a specialised "health food" up here I would say.
Poison Ivy, that looks absolutely delicious!!! You are an amazing chef!
So Andy....how bout it? Ask your mum for us will you ;):D
You lucky ducky! Your mum is like the magic cooking fairy :D
Ohhhh Poison Ivy that looks sooooo yummy!!
OMG - this thread is making me hungry! :D
Awwww - poor Ruby. :(
I think I'm going to put this one on my wishlist too :)
