Yeah, on the whole I do prefer to use dried beans. But I do have to admit that for convenience reasons I do buy the canned variety sometimes. I don't tend to plan my meals, so soaking over night only...

Just me - I've been having a bit of a problem with the freecycle thing recently, there seems to be too many people on there (certainly in the Cardiff area anyway) that are putting 'Wanted' ads up...
