Re: Occasional slips and ongoing food cravings

Thanks for the support everyone. I know that there is tons of support on this forum that outweighs the negativity, and that vegans are just a microcosm of society and thus there will be extremists...

Re: Occasional slips and ongoing food cravings

Totally agree. But I will say this and then probably leave the board forever since I am sure I will be unwelcome. I have been a vegan for years and a vegetarian for many, many years before that. ...
  3. Re: Canadians: do you spell things the American or British way?

Well my mum and late grandmother became Canadian after being here for a long time, but I"m the only one to be born and raised here.
  4. Re: Canadians: do you spell things the American or British way?

Yep, it's the best. Whenever I go to Europe you just wave your passport-no lines. I'm the only Canadian in my family. The rest are British and German (Grandparents and up are mostly German, few...

I swear one day I'll just get on a plane and move there (I actually almost did once-I was in London and almost didn't leave!!), that way I guess everyone will have an accent :)

You say bin or been? I've never even heard of 'bin' pronouncing before!!
  8. Re: Canadians: do you spell things the American or British way?

We pronounce it as British too! I loooooove British accents though, gotta marry a Brit so I can listen to the accent all day long :p
  9. Re: Canadians: do you spell things the American or British way?

After reading through this thread again, I don't even know what's American and Canadian half the time, except of course for the obvious cultural ones like toque and zed :) .

    Although, I've heard...

Re: One Food for the Rest of Your Life

actually wait... I've heard there's chocolate covered marzipan in Europe that's vegan (that I can't find here). When I was growing up I ate marzipan like crazy.

    Re: Likes/dislikes about your province

I know. When it rained for that 40 days straight a few months ago, it was horrible, I'm not used to that either because at least in Ontario it may be cold but the sky is blue. When we had that...

btw: all the likes I agree with. B.C. is incredibly beautiful, cleaner air, much much more laid back and vegan friendly than other places. It is my favourite part of the country by far.
