I have edited out my posting since what I posted about had already been mentioned in this thread and so my newly created thread was almagamated into this very old thread, which in my humble opinion...
I didn't actually say it was ok to eat eggs and I didn't say, vegans eat eggs and I didn't say we need to eat eggs. :)
I'm a new vegan and have learnt so much but I do keep seeing people say how they think it's ok to eat eggs from their own hens, their hens live a great life, and die when they die naturally - there's...
I knew I shouldn't have looked at this thread, I'm drooling - you all should be punished :p
I can't wait to start cooking and baking some of the stuff shown on Cherry's website... need to get into cooking my own stuff, and what better place to begin! :D
I agree with this... I was brought up eating meat, and dairy products, I drank dairy milk from the day I was born almost until very recently, I don't want to drink it anymore, but I didn't give it...
I'm still a little lost... is it ok to use the product Pure spread, I know it states vegan on the packaging, but it does contain palm oil, but because of the vegan mark, are they telling us that...
I've found vegan capsules here...

I've found vegetarin flaxseed oil capsules, with out geletin, but because it states vegetarian, does it mean they are no good for vegans - I'm sorry if I'm being dense?
Does flaxseed oil come in capsule/tablet form? :)

Just wanted to say... fab, what an excellent site :D This is going to help me heaps! *grins*
If anyone can provide any information with regard to palm oil that would be fab - if palm oil really is a thumbs down, is the pure sunflower spread also a thumbs down since it contains palm oil? :)
I initally stopped eating baby animals i.e. lamb... then next came eating only free range/organic meat... then after seeing a cow by accident on tv being shot in the head, I decided only to eat...
I heard not too long ago that palm oil should be avoided as it contributes to the distruction of the rain forest... doesn't stop there!
Here's a link for your reference:...
So far so good, just wish super markets where more accomadating, would make life so much easier lol
Well I bought 'Pure Sunflower' margarine today and made sandwiches... and it tasted just fine on my Vegan Nimble bread, with my Redwood Vegan turkey slices - washed down with a cup of tea using...
What about margarine... my usual choice is Flora, it's not for vegans though? Whats nice? :)
It is hard to change, I've been drinking dairy milk for so long now, that soya milk after taste stayed with me right through the night, but I did try and perservere with it and had it again the next...
It's only natural that I'm going to compare, how can I not - comparing one product against another product, whatever the products, isn't going to change how I taste something. So far, the soya milk...
Oooo, don't tempt me with all the deserts lol I see they do the rice milk too.
I used to eat eggs until recently, the one's that are supposed to be cruelty free, but no more. Cheese, as of yesterday, is off my diet list too. I do like cheese a lot, but I can live without it -...
Yep, made a cup of tea with it... I can tell it's not what I'm used to, but I like it - not tasted it neat, that might be a different outcome but not too bothered about drinking it like that :)
Welllllll, I went into the health food shop and bought a very small handsize carton of organic rice milk - thumbsup! :D I've found my milk substitute! Should have bought a bigger carton lol
I've only ever had cows milk (as far as I know), and for a long time now, semi skimmed - only recently tried the two products stated in my first posting.
I'm off to the health food shop shortly,...
I'm trying to become a vegan, done a lot of reading, trying to educate myself - I've started with removing dairy products... milk.
So far, I have tried 'sogood' soya milk which was vile and...
