Tortilla chips & salsa side order
Only on Mondays.
Wow, what a treat!
They do curries on Thursdays :)
Wetherspoons is awful for vegan food now. Unless you go on a Thursday your only options are chips or salad without dressing. Booo :(
^ I think that's always been the case, or at least the case for a very long time. I think if you ask nicely they might be able to make you one on other days if they have the stock. I know I've had...
The burger isn't vegan. You can check the website it lists all their vegan options.
They have a new topping option for jacket potatoes - houmous :)
The Tarka Daal doesn't appear to be on the menu any more. Shame, I kept meaning to try it. At 220 calories though I think I'd have been disappointed unless it was very cheap.
They have a new vegan dish - Tarka Daal
Good to see some new stuff on the menu.
The Houmous and Roasted Vegetables - Flatbread doesn't mention that it comes with mayonnaise which is undoubtedly not vegan so I wonder if the dressing that...
Just tried the new Aubergine & spinach dhansak, tastes quite similar to the other curry and I don't think it's any spicier even though it says it is on the menu.
Yay :) It's on their online menu too.

Just posting the current vegan list to have something to compare against in future.
Probably to do with the dressing that comes on the salad.
The burger has both egg and milk in it according to their nutritional info.
As you'd probably have guessed, I'm one of those that would want more proof than word of mouth.
Nah, I was nice as pie :) I think I was just lucky to have happened to have told the manager. You should complain on the website. I wouldn't be happy with just an apology and complaining through the...
^ You're not the first... http://www.veganforum.com/forums/showpost.php?p=529549&postcount=233
We just tried the pasta, didn't think much of it. It was obviously reheated in the microwave so alot of the pasta was overcooked and bits of it were chewy and hard. It was also a bit sweet for my...
You haven't tried it yet, it does say spicy!
I finally received a response today.
The £2.99 Spicy tomato pasta IS suitable for vegans :D
They've also updated the nutritional info on the website now to confirm it.
No, I asked via the comments box on the nutritional info page, seems they don't respond to questions through there despite saying they will.
They're vegetarian, they contain milk though.
Once you've ticked the vegan box you have to give it a second for the page to reload before you click the search button.
This was in the letters page of the Wetherspoons magazine last time we went in;
Yeah, it's just not been added yet since it doesn't even come up if you select vegetarian (which it's marked as) so there's still hope left.
I emailed them yesterday but no response yet.
Where does it say that? It's still not listed on the nutritional info pages.
If their nutritional info about the nut roast is correct it contains both egg and milk.
They've introduced 5 new meals today at £2.99 each, one of which is spicy tomato pasta and with any luck will be vegan. They haven't added it to their nutritional info pages yet so can't check....
They would, I worked there. (many years ago but I'm sure it hasn't changed).
There was definate fear of god in the manager when he realised what had happend.
Me: "Excuse me, is this lamb?"...
Is it really almost as bad? I'd be much much happier if I hadn't eaten any but realised it was meat beforehand.
We decided to do the same thing as bradders after realising what had happened,...
TBH after eating lamb it wouldn't phase me much if it wasn't.
^ I hope it is, this website says yes - http://homepage.ntlworld.com/geraint.bevan/Vegetarian_beers.html#Coors
I'll ask.
We're in wetherspoons now, just got their curry club meal, 2 curries, basmati rice, onion bhajis, vegetable samosas, bombay potatoes, poppadums, mango chutney (extra samosas instead of naan bread)...
They forgot to give us mango chutney, I had to go to the bar and ask for it - despicable
They should include lime pickle as well imho.
^ Nice one Emzy, good idea :)
I emailed them a few days back to say that I appreciated them having a vegan meal and asking that they do more. I just got a letter in response saying that they'd pass the compliments on to the pubs...
^ That's what I'm saying, it's not any cheaper, it's more expensive as all the other meals are available on 2 for £6.69 offers (so pretty much buy one get one free). I only mentioned the cost of the...
I told the guy we wanted it veganised, I don't think he got that, so we just said give us poppadums instead of naan bread. I don't think he did get it tbh but he didn't really seem all that with it...
We just shared one of their new curries, it was very nice, it says it's in a rich coconut sauce (which put me off a bit) but it didn't taste in the least bit coconuty. I think it's overpriced at...
It's actually listed on their website now on the menu bit and even says it's suitable for vegans there.

^ The functioning alcoholic boat? Nah, I mostly malfunction.
Firkin, Slug & lettuce
EDIT: Actually Buddha is quite right, breweries like Greene king do own alot of the pubs.
