I'm not sure about either argument for or against. What I do know is that I have fluorosis, as a result of eating a lot of toothpaste when I was a kid. I just liked the way it tasted! My front...
sharon fruit, passionfruit, pineapple or anything else tropical
With veg I usually cut the mouldy bits off. Bread I throw the whole thing out. I've started keeping my bread in the freezer though as I can't eat it fast enough on my own.
I was so...
I'm also very disappointed by this. I've not bought anything in the body shop for years, not because of ethical issues but because their products are just a bit pants really imho. Apparently Dame...
L is for labels by Amanda Ursell apparently the uk's "leading nutritionist" but I've never heard of her. It's an ok book, it's aimed at absolute beginners and goes over the basic laws about food...
Maybe I'm wrong, sorry! I just looked at my book about food labels (v interesting) and it says only 30 additives are allowed in organic food (in the uk) and shellac (E904) isn't on that list.
Organic doesn't always mean it is shellac free! You have to ask your supplier.
You can also get fruit juices which are shellac free, I don't have a list off the top of my head, but you can...
I had some Redwoods sage and onion slices and I have to say they were the most disgusting thing I've ever had in my life (maybe a slight over-exageration). Just tasted far too similar to sliced...
I usually drink Morrisons or Tescos own brands, or alpro uht, all sweetened, which I love to use in everything or just to drink straight, but I hate the unsweetened stuff, I've had to throw out loads...

How sad am I? I just read my own post without realising, while thinking oooh that sounds soooo good! I've inspired myself to make a sandwich.
I was looking for some cheap wool on the internet because I was going out to buy Stitch n Bitch. But then I came across some peta articles on mulesing and the cruelty of Australian sheep, something...
Only a month til smoking is banned in public places in Scotland, and to celebrate I'm going to go clubbing for the first time in 2 years! Can't wait!
I like the little lunchbox-sized cartons of alpro soya, can't remember what they're called, but you can get them in different flavours, banana is my favourite. But this might also add up to be quite...
My favourite sandwich has to be avocado, tomato and spinach, maybe also with vegannaise or houmous if I'm feeling decadent. Otherwise it has to be peanut butter and either jam, banana or dried...
I used to drink quite a lot when I first left home for uni. Now I only occasionally have a gin+tonic or cocktail if I'm at a friends house. I don't like wine or beer, just don't like the taste. ...
thanks for that link, wow I'm in chocolate heaven!
I also found this on http://www.snackspot.org.uk/thread.php?story=0404091123sbc about halfway down the page, and it appears to be vegan if you...
It's coming to that time of year where creme eggs are everywhere. Usually I can resist chocolate but I LOVED these with a passion. Is there any way to make the fondant icing inside to have with vegan...
First went veggie at 18. Relapsed then back to veggie last October. I went vegan 3 weeks ago at age 22.

Tinned tomatoes
Tinned beans
Onions
Dried mixed herbs
Peanut butter
I agree with stickydate, I buy what I like. I love organic red apples, but I tried buying organic avocados on several occassions and they were all brown and mushy. Another problem I have with...
I started when I was 12 and didn't tell my mum, she worked it our for herself a couple of days later. We had had 'the talk' one day when I was about 10 but I got most of my info from reading...
