The chickpea noodle soup is tasty and comes together easily. :)
I just tried a few new things over the weekend:
Chewy oatmeal raisin cookies: just okay. I have other recipes that do this classic recipe a lot better.
Curried carrot dip: just fine but not...
Wow, this is very inspiring! I'm going to try the cauliflower pot pie asap!
Ooooh, I've been meaning to try those!
I made the Pasta Della California tonight - it was really, really tasty and super fast and easy to make. It's definitely going to become a staple. :satisfied:
I found that for frying them, I had to work really hard to make them as thin as possible so they would cook in the middle. That meant I ended up making more patties than the recipe calls for but I...
8 copies?!!? The Calgary Veg Society must have donated those or something. In any case, "WOOT!" for you.:D
If you're strange then so am I!
Congratulations! Make the chickpea cutlets with mustard sauce!!!!
I've never enjoyed mole, sadly - and the recipe in Isa's book didn't manage to convince me. :(
I recently tried the Sweet Basil Pesto Tapenade (or something to that effect). I thought it was okay but I don't have much of a sweet tooth.
I've heard the Moussaka is RIDICULOUSLY delicious but I haven't tried it yet.
You know, I'm feeling rather underwhelmed by Veganomicon myself after initially being really excited by it. I was really disappointed when I found that a number of the tofu recipes in it are lifted...
I made the Hot Sauce Glazed Tempeh tonight - my husband gobbled it up like I've never seen him gobble tempeh before. I really liked it too. There's one piece left so tomorrow I'm going to mash it up...
I made the chickpea cutlets again last night - for some reason, they didn't excite me much this time around.
Great pics, PoisonIvy...
I made the Broccoli-Millet Croquettes over the weekend - they took a long time, but most of it was inactive time, which allowed me to make other things at the same time....
Hmmm. It's not nearly that pricy here in Toronto - I wonder what the deal is. Did you buy it in a bulk store or in a health food store?
Here's a list (sure to be added to) of the many, many errors in Veganomicon:

I made the escarole with beans and capers as a side dish tonight - it was yummy and really easy to prepare.:)
A friend of mine tells me that the moussakka (sp?) is the most ridiculously delicious thing she's ever tasted. I'm going to make it tomorrow night.
It's probably already been posted here but...make the chickpea seitan cutlets with mustard sauce NOW! Trust me!
I've been running around all over the place trying to find this and all the bookstores have been sold out - but I finally found a copy today and it was 30% for post-Xmas! :D
I was banking on getting this for Festivus - I had it listed at the highest priority on my Amazon wishlist and still no one bought it for me. Since then, I've been looking for it in bookstores here...
