    Re: odwalla

Don't know about odwalla (I don't waste $$ on juice I can blend myself), but if you are drinking juice that is not pastuerized, keeping it in the refrigerator doesn't matter, you can still get...

    Re: Fluoride

You NEED fluoride, just not in large amounts. Consuming too much fluoride can cause fluorosis, but this is with actual CONSUMPTION (not rinsing) of flouride. Subtract fluoride from your diet...

What is wrong with hot chocolate made from powdered cocoa? Yummy! All you need is the cocoa powder, soymilk, vanilla, and evaporated can juice.

    Re: Vegan ice cream?

US jello has gelatin in it. We have both jam and jelly here. What was in that bowl looked like our jelly.

    Re: Vegan ice cream?

LOL Sorry for my ignorance for all things British.

The only time you'll see someone willingly eating mushy peas in the US is if they are under the age of 1 and being fed them by someone else.

    Re: Vegan ice cream?

Yeah, don't even want to know what the mushy peas are. :)

Yes, we have jelly & jam in the states, but usually the jelly stays on the toast or english muffin or whatever. Never seen anyone put it...

I love to get mine filled with spinach-the ones in my area have spinach now for salads and I have them put a ton of my sub, along with cumcumber, tomatoes, black olives and oil & vinegar. I bring it...

    Re: Vegan ice cream?

The Tofutti too-toos have chocolate chips, so I don't think they're vegan? They don't list the ingredients of the chips on the packaging... but they only say "dairy-free". In the Tofutti chocolate...

Jelly & ice cream...hm...must be a European thing. I think if I told someone in the US I was eating that they would laugh.

    Kinda like pie & chips?

Re: Asparagus and foul smelling urine

Actually, the gene is for whether or not you can smell it, not produce it. My friend's boyfriend can't smell it, she can, and she smelled it in his urine.

    Nice convo, eh?

    I get the same...

    Re: Braggs Liquid Aminos

Yes, it is a selling point because all soy has all of the amino acids. There are pluses to it (as mentioned previously) over regular soy sauce, but if you rarely use soy sauce it probably doesn't...

    Re: Braggs Liquid Aminos

If you like soy sauce, then you will like Bragg's. I do use it instead of soy but I don't use it much, either, because soy sauce (including Bragg's liquid aminos) are SO salty. Ick.
