I tried on the internet too. Problem is that I think internet shopping comes from the local branch.

    Re: Vegan croissant?

I asked 4 different assistants who didn't seem to know what I was talking about. I assume they should be in the fridge next to pastry. I tried the internet too. Maybe I'll send my husband on a search...

Thank you all for your contributions.

Tadpole, this is very odd. Sainsburys didn't have them when I looked yesterday so I couldn't double check.

    Re: Too little salt?

Thanks for your concern HWW but I have none of those symptoms. I had a look at the chart and I still reckon Thursday and Friday when I ate mainly vegetables and grains I really did eat very little...

    Re: Too little salt?

I thought perhaps that salt was something you need every day, and some days I don't eat any of those things. (We make our own bread). I'm sure I'm not diabetic - I don't feel ill.

    cvC, I drank 2...

    Re: Too little salt?

Right. But I was thinking that if too much salt causes water retention then too little salt would mean that not enough water was retained - which might also make you thirsty. Trouble is I don't...

    Re: Too little salt?

I think a goitre is caused by lack of iodine rather than lack of sodium. I'm not too sure what the sources of iodine are in a vegan diet, but I think sea salt is one.

Too little salt? Too much salt?

Does anyone know the symptoms of too little sodium in the diet? Sometimes I feel dehydrated even after drinking water in reasonable amounts, and I wondered if it's because I don't add salt to food...

  17. Re: Vegan friendly restaurants in UK

You jest! I doubt whether anywhere within lunching distance would do other than laugh or look perpexed if I asked.

We all draw our line in different places. I don't bother about wine.
  18. Re: Vegan friendly restaurants in UK

I don't know whether anyone is in reach of Halesowen W. Mids. but we just ate well at the Sun at Romsley. I rang in advance and they listed the ingredients in their butternut squash bourgingon (which...
