The Yaoh gadget is something I've been thinking about for a while but I...
A good splash of rum would go nicely in there too!
I read recently a book that touched very briefly on a man who had found considerable benefit to his health, weight loss and general well being by going on a hemp based diet. It didn't mention any...
Me too! :)
I don't have any problems being vegan and eating truffles, plus it seems that since 1997 they have been able to grow them commercially on farms.
Purchased wild ones might be I suppose - good point.
I have recently got in to fungi foraging so my enquiry was more wishful thinking for if I ever find some of these myself.
This is great news as the average Sport reader probably doesn't consider veganism very often and this might get the message out there to people who would not be receptive to it in any other form.

Does any one have any good vegan recipes for truffles and morels?
With other wild mushrooms I have experimented to good effect but with these types of rare and fine mushrooms I am slightly...

Had one last night, having another tonight. Mrs PV and I can't get enough of the Spicy Korma.
Really good with Redwoods "chicken" pieces!
I wonder if we who are not part of the hunting aristocracy and rock star lineage would get to pick and choose our court dates?!
I live in Glastonbury and work in Bristol. I think glastonbury is a wonderful town and has many vegan and veggie eateries. They out number the omni ones in fact. Vegan, organic, fair trade etc are...
I had one sitting on my drivers-side door this morning, I had to climb in from the passenger side. Must have been a funny sight as I'm 6'2"!
Ecoanimal - that's not very nice! :(
This is my worst nightmare - I hope they don't head West!
I'm really phobic of them, I literally freak out very, very badly when they come near. It's strange as I'm fine with all other creepy-crawlies. Glad we're not over run with them here!
I too am a fan of the UFC. The skill and fitness levels of the athletes are incredible. It is not the mindless violence that some people assume it is.
It's people like this that will bring...
It's a little bit gothy (but not too much) and a little bit like PJ Harvey.
You can have a listen on their website:

Most MMA fighters are nice guys.
I think any public profile vegan is a good thing, one who comlpetely shatters the vegan stereotype is even better.
Are you guys aware of the MMA (mixed martial arts) fighter Mac Danzig? He is the current Lightweight Division Champion of the King Of The Cage tournament. For those that don't know, this is full...
Hi Aussies :)
Just a pom here who stumbled across your thread.
I've been listeng to the Howling Bells recently who are very good and I believe are from Australia.
Great band.
It is, yes. I feel a lot happier now you've said they understand at the point of ordering. I'm only a few months vegan and still getting used to these situations.
Cheers :)
I work in the centre of Bristol and am going out with colleagues for a meal this week. I suggested this place as it should please everyone - I saw they are vegan friendly on the Vegan Bristol site.

I have contacted Westons cider and they have confirmed in writing that there entire range, bottled, draught and keg is all vegan. IMHO it's the tastiest too!
:)
This sounds really interesting Skyedancer, do they have a website?
Good find, that explains it in terms even my boss would be able to understand! :-)
I've just come across this not-for-profit group who organise vegan trips to ski resorts:
