    Re: New Vegan with Constipation

Well of course you should do what you feel is best, and if you feel the diet tea helps, then use that. It may not be long until you don't need to. It does sound like your body readjusting. It's like...

    Re: New Vegan with Constipation

Hi ahunt01. It probably depends on what exactly your diet was like previously, but I would say please don't worry at this early stage.

If your experience is anything like mine (without going into...

    Re: B&M

I will definitely be trying the cherry wine, and probably the strawberry one too if I'm honest, but I just had a little check - please be aware that the Broadland Norfolk mead fruit and country wine...

    Re: Goodlife frozen food

No, I don't think Sainsbury's has ever stocked it. Their frozen veggie section is not great, but I do like shopping there because a lot of shelved stuff is actually labelled as vegan, as opposed to...

    Re: Shopping for chocolate

I use Vitalite, but I have used Pure. I also keep an eye out for anything else that may pop up. I'm quite happy with Vitalite though. :-)

    Re: Shopping for chocolate

Unfortunately it looks like it's available only in the USA, or I would definitely try it. :tongue_ani:

Yeah that's true. It wasn't so much the taste for me, it was the texture - like really...

    Goodlife frozen food

Until their (seemingly) one and only batch sold out a few months ago, my local Asda sold Goodlife frozen food, and they don't seem to have restocked since then, which is a shame, because I love it....

    Re: Shopping for chocolate

Quick update here - I ate something tonight that no omni would have guessed is vegan. In fact it was so meaty, it knocked me sick - I won't be eating it again.

I love vegan sausages, fake bacon...
  9. Re: Strange "gelatine" kind of stuff in beans....???

I would have been suspicious too, but since there's nothing nasty in the ingredients list, you're probably ok. If it says on the tin that it's suitable for vegetarians, then I'm sure it's fine.

    Re: Shopping for chocolate

I just had to google Earth Balance. ;) Great site!

I'm lucky in that I can easily buy fake minced beef at one of my local supermarkets, and it is vegan. I have made shepherd's pie with it, and I...

    Re: Shopping for chocolate

Well the avocado pasta looks delicious! Unfortunately my partner, though totally respecting my choices, is showing very little interest in eating vegan, but having said that, he does like my hearty...

    Re: Shopping for chocolate

Yes, and what I need to remind myself of is this - my partner is omni, and we share the same kitchen, the same cooker etc., and it does sometimes really gross me out, but I have to tolerate it. If...

    Re: Shopping for chocolate

Me too, but I haven't found a single chocolate product in the supermarkets without this warning. I'm just wondering if I could maybe go ahead anyway. :p

Yes, I'm liking the sound of this, it's...

    Shopping for chocolate

I like a bit of chocolate, me. But I do limit myself to what I can buy, because I am quite strict with it. I was just wondering what everyone else is happy to buy?

I usually buy mine from Holland...
  15. Re: Tennessee dog dies Thursday because he is "gay"

I never thought I'd see a case in which the two things I felt most strongly about, veganism and gay rights, would be combined like this. How bizarre.

And what a sad, twisted individual that is.

Re: What did you eat today? (15)

    Wholemeal toast
    Sultana bran with almond milk

Magnificent mushroom mash (that's what I call it anyway!) - mashed potato packed with mushrooms, onions, red pepper, herbs and spices (fried up last...
