I have been wanting to go to Brighton for a while so I booked some tickets today so I can go for a long weekend while the fayre is on, can't wait :D
I love burger fuel, though I have only ever had the V8 vegan cause I didn't know they could make any of the others vegan, but yeah it seems to be really hard for them to make any changes, I hate raw...
I tried the Sweet and Sara marshmallows when I was in the US and I liked them, but probably not enough to pay 6 pounds plus postage, that's pretty expensive!
Vegan with a Vengeance is my definitely my favourite, I also really like Authentic Chinese Cooking by Bryanna Clark Grogan.
I barely cook at the moment due to living in a flat with a tiny kitchen...
Redwood fish fingers with ketchup, roasted potatoes and mixed veggies all covered in gravy. Followed by a mince pie, yum!
Sweet, will post again if I have any more questions, which I probably will cause I am just at the beginning of planning the trip stage. I'm not going until May.
Thanks for that Shrapnel!! Still a while before I go but I like to be prepared so it's handy to know what places are likely to be able to do vegan food. I haven't been to a theme park in years and...
I love those cookies, they are one of my favourites!
I think the terms used for molasses are different in different countries, in New Zealand/Australia (and I think the UK) what is generally...
Thanks, good to know it is possible to find vegan food there, we will probably spend a day or two in the park. Do you remember what restaurants? Have tried looking online to see what’s available but...
Is it generally easy to get vegan food in most parts of LA, or does anyone have any recommendations of what part of the city is a good place to stay for a first time visitor? I am planning a trip...
I tried the bacon crispies at the weekend, they were yummy. The smaller bags were the old recipe though so I had to get a big bag and ended up eating them way too quickly!
I also tried those the...
haha, yeah I am from NZ too and hadn't realised it wasn't common here until I ordered a baked potato with sweet corn, was quite surprised when it was literally just corn kernels on a potato:p
Thanks, wouldn't have thought to look in a Chinese type shop, will have to see if any of the ones around here sell any.
Does anyone know if any shops sell creamed corn?
Pretty much anything involving potato or bread, peanut butter on toast being at the top of the list. And cookies.
B: banana soymilk, peanut butter bagel
L: vegi deli chicken nuggets, lemon soy yogurt
S: hula hoops, 2 raspberry ruffle bars
D: sausages, baked potato with pesto and mixed veggies
Good to know!
I still have 3 and a half weeks until i go but I am so looking forward to it, London has always been a place I have wanted to visit plus I haven't left Edinburgh since moving here 4...
I love Aunty Menas, especially the nasi goreng ayam, sooooo good!
Yeah they use to sell the actual marshmallows too, apparently they stopped cause of the short shelf life or something.
...
I love cherry bakewells, I will have to see if I can find that brand. I tried the sainsburys ones once and had the same problem with really hard icing.
today i had:
b- banana soy milk and...
Thanks for that, looks like tubes are the way to go. The least complicated method is always best when it comes to me trying to find my way around:p
After reading this thread last night and then watching How I met your mother where they kept eating burgers I had to go get stuff for burgers for dinner tonight, except I couldn't find vegan buns so...
Yeah, figured there probably wouldn't be much around there, was hoping to find someplace close by to grab lunch on the days I leave/arrive but am sure I will figure something out.
Sweet,...
I like frys burgers or schnitzels too. My new favourite ones are some tvp based ones I found in my local health shop recently, i think the brand is Vegetarian's Choice or something like that, really...
I am going to London for a long weekend at the end of October, it will be my first time there so I don't know much about the different areas but i am staying around the victoria station area(I think...
I love the NZ/Aus version of Marmite but don't like the UK one, will have to try some of the other brands and see if there is one I like.
I am from Wgtn originally though not living there now.
I made those marshmallows a few times when that kit first came out, sooooo messy but at least they turned out yummy, although they were...
I quite those cocoa loco bars too.
Swedish glace vanilla and cheezly would be 2 of my favourite uk vegan products at the moment.
This is my favourite cook book, I have made heaps of the recipes and there are only a couple I haven't liked that much.I have a craving for the BBQ tofu, havent had it for ages and it's so good.
I haven't made nearly as many recipes from this as Vegan with a Vengence but there's a couple i've quite liked, the cranberry orange bread is yummy!
I tried the coconut booja booja recently, thought it was ok but not something I would by again for the price.
The only tofutti I have tried is the rock-n-roll cones which I didn't really like, is...
I was around 13 when I went vegetarian and then 21 when I went vegan.
I love sausage rolls! I use a recipe similar to the one treehugga posted, usually using 1/2 pecans and 1/2 cashews, so yummy.
B: chocolate soy milk, mixed seed cereal bar
L: peanut butter bagel, alpro vanilla desert
S: mixed nuts
D: sweet and sour tofu and veggies, mixed berries and grapes, chocolate bar
I saw those Masala Dosa's in Asda last week, they looked good but I think there was an ingredient I wasn't sure of so I didn't get them, hope they are vegan!
Does anyone know if Sainburys...
I was there recently and also stayed on North Point st, most of the restaurants nearby are touristy seafoody type places and I didn't find any places with vegan food that close but there is a Trader...
I love this book too, almost all of the recipes I have tried have been awesome. Haven't made any in months though cause I don't really having any baking stuff where I live at the moment, I have a big...
