The Sun Magazine's May 2006 Issue - Lots of Vegan/Vegetarian Content

The Sun is an awesome magazine (started in Chapel Hill, NC in 1974). Tons of incredible personal and political essays, poems and photography. They're anti-commercial and do not advertise. If you've never heard of it or seen it, do yourself a favor and check it out http://www.thesunmagazine.org/about.html

May's issue had had a number of articles I think would interest many of you on this forum:

"Seventy-Two Labors" (about a vegan's experience with protesting and living in an Omniworld)

"The Anxiety of Eating: An Excerpt From the Omnivore's Dilemma"

"Lost in the Supermarket: How the Food Industry Has Changd The Way We Eat"

Finally, at the back of every issue is a feature called "Sunbeams" where they dedicate one or two pages to inspiring/profound/fabulous quotes. All of the quotes in May were about vegetarian life.

That sounds very good. I opened the thread expecting something that comes free with The Sun newspaper. They're very unlikely to run Vegan articles. Or news. Or anything for people who can read.
