i'm just wondering if anyone knows alternatives to molasses in cooking? i don't really like the taste of it, but i really want to bake pumpkin cookies from "vegan with a vengeance" and it calls for 2 tablespoons. thanks!

id think anything with a similar consistancy thats sweet would be a good substitute..

agave nectar?
or make a thick sugar water with cane sugar??
you could probably even leave it out, or just add some raw sugar instead.
