    Oh I never thought about making pistachio butter before. I love the idea! Would you just spread it on your bread?
    I think that's what I did with it when I had some although I think there was also a suggestion of using it on pasta.

    I buy the nut butters without added oil when I can find them but the supermarket brands mostly seem to have it, even the "crunchy" versions. I suppose oil is palatable, as well as cheap

    Crunchy versions are made by using smooth nut butter and adding unblended nuts, so if the smooth version has oil, so will the crunchy.
    I don't mind if they use the same oil as the nut/seed in the butter (E.G peanut oil in peanut butter) then at least its from the same plant, it gets up my nose when the use palm oil.
    Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
    Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

    After reading this thread I experimented with multiple nuts and seeds using my food processor. Walnuts work awesomely, then add vegan cocoa, sweetener of choice (I use stevia), and maybe a pinch of salt. I was eating it with a spoon, lol Was way too yummy to put on bread.

    Mmm, must try that Beanie Babe. I like walnuts a lot but never thought of walnut butter.
