My dad is allergic to preservatives like calcium propionate and sodium benzoate, ect. When he eats foods containing that type of preservative, he feels the effect several hours later. He is also allergic to MSG (a preservative), and when he eats it, he feels the effect after 10-15 minutes. Yesterday, he ate some rice. The box claimed that it was all-natural, but he got a really bad headache after and read the ingrediants on the box, where he saw Autolyzed Yeast Extract. He is wondering if it could be the culprit, and I am curious as well, as I can't find much about it online. Does anyone know what Autolyzed Yeast Extract is?? If people have a wheat sensitivity, can they eat it? Is it a preservative?
