Lightbulb I am writing a vegan cook book

I work for a kitchenware company and would like to write a vegan cookbook. I don't really know enough about being a vegan to write one on my own so i'm looking to do a compilation of recipies and i want to incorporate the products we sell. what I'm looking for right now is appetizers and breakfast things and i'll be working down the day from there. please share your recipies with me and i will of course put your name and things on there.
    thank you so much

I eat pretty simple - because I can't cook that well - I'm a pasta and bean soup person - those 2 things are so easy to make... I wish I could have my own veggie restaurant, there are none in my city. My city has every other restaurant and steak house, nothing for us v*ggies.

I have an onion butter recipe for when you get to the part of the day when onion butter is appropriate!

I would be happy to supply you with some recipes from my website www.recipesforvegans.co.uk if you would supply a link to the site in your book.

Please contact me via the email on the website if you want to talk about it.

Just had a look at your site Meday, and it looks fantastic. Just bookmarked it!

Ooh, and I'll definitely be interested in buying a copy of your finished book pnaykiss21!

Still room for another book I would think, but it might help if it has a theme to differentiate if from the established ones.

What sort of products are you looking to incorporate, pnaykiss1? Knowing that might make it easier to suggest recipes.

Also maybe you could arrange with Korn to donate a portion of any proceeds from the book to his forum expenses, depending on how many of the recipes come from here?

I went to the Oxford branch of Waterstones today (UK Bookstore chain), and went to the veg/vegan section, and they didn't have a single vegan cookbook!!? Plus, they had a book with fish on the front as well..

I love (and enjoy) cooking for other people, but I never put too much effort into it if it's just going to be for my tea or whatever. However, I never really use too much (read:any) of the specific meat/dairy substitutes (I normally just have veg and grain type stuff), and so would like to start trying some of this stuff.

Completely hijacking this thread (although, as I've said above, i'm definitely interested in buying a copy of your completed book..), but can anyone recommend other good creative cook books?

I'm going to track down a copy of the Ultimate Uncheese Cookbook, and I've got a few by Rose Eliot, but are they any more tried-and-tested everyday meal books that people use?

I like Dr Neal Barnard's intelligent approach in his "Breaking the Food Seduction", and the recipes there make total sense and are delicious, though the ingredients are American and not always available here in Oz.

I don't think the original poster is looking to plagiarize existing published recipes; i'm pretty sure they're looking for unpublished recipes or ideas that can be used in a new publication.

    I think you're right.

I'm not sure if they've been back since, but if they have I second the advice to say what equipment they want to tailor the recipes to.

I would also like to point out that Chicago has a thriving vegan scene and they could do worse than go along to meet-ups and potlucks and pick people's brains about any recipes that seem particularly fabulous

Since pnaykiss21 doesn't appear to be following the thread, I'll close it for now, and rather than mention existing books in this thread, it may well be better to start threads of their own in the 'Vegan Cookbooks ' forum anyway. A couple of posts have been moved there already.
