so this might make me sound kind of retarded in terms of being a vegan (newly vegan :P) but i was curious if you guys knew if yeast was not vegan... i did a bit of research and it doesnt really seem very safe to eat... if you could let me know thatd be really great. thanks a lot :]

Can you be a bit more specific? Yeast extract (as in Marmite/Vegemite) is safe to eat, as is nutritional yeast. You may also want to check out the entry on brewer's yeast.
