    Hi there
    I need a recipe for buns, like the ones for hamburgers you know the round ones, with whole wheat flour

    I can't find any vegan recipe for that =/ and I wanna make myself a vegan burger :P

    lol while am at it... does anyone have a recipe for vegan burgers using soy "flakes" (don't know how to call it), or perhaps how to smoke a piece of tofu

    I'm hesitant to post a particular recipe for buns because you should be able to find millions of recipes for vegan wholewheat bread dough very easily on the web (and probably through the 'search' on here as well) which will exactly match what you're looking for, whereas I'm not exactly sure at the moment what you're after.

    Do your soya flakes have anything on the packet already? In my experience they usually have recipes on the side for sausages or burgers.

    You could try You'll probably want to search for recipes using "TVP" which is similar to soya flakes.

    This looks good:

    Title: Whole Wheat Bread Or Burger Buns - Joann Rachor
    Yield: 3 Servings


    3 c warm water
    2 tb sweetener
    1 1/2 tb yeast
    1 tb salt
    1/4 c oil, optional
    8 c to 9 whole wheat flour


    Follow mixing directions for basic whole wheat bread. This recipe
    will make 3 1-pound or 2 large loafs. For buns divide dough into
    18-20 pieces. Shape into balls then flatten slightly by pressing
    between palms. Place on oiled cookie sheets, not quite touching. Let
    rise until doubled. Bake at 350F. 25-35 minutes, until golden brown.


    For lighter bread replace 3 cups whole wheat flour with white flour.

    Leave out oil. Replace 1 1/4 cup whole wheat flour with 1 1/4 cup soy
    flour. Soy flour increases moistness of the bread. Source: Of These

    and I did search on the web, but in hebrew =/ in english I searched just a little bit but I had a hard time finding something eggless or whatever
