I like Barlean's. Some people don't like the taste of flaxseed oil at all though. To me, it seems that there is an almost fishy taste to it. I wouldn't order it online since it needs to be refrigerated. Healthfood stores usually have it and I usually buy it at Wholefoods supermarket.
Oh god! I didn't know it had to be refrigerated. Damn - what a fool I am - at the store the bottles were kept in a fridge now that I think of it. I bought flaxseed oil for the first time a week ago and it's been sitting on a window sill until now. I hope it hasn't turned bad - it was bloody expensive. The brand is FMD and it's organic which probably explains the price.
I don't like the taste either. Though maybe the reason it tastes bad is that it's gone off lol.
I also hate the taste - John, it is fishy isn't it!
I take 10ml every morning now to make sure I get my omega 3 fatty acids.
Please chuck your flaxseed oil away if it has been sitting on the window sill. It MUST be refrigerated. My guess is that it would be rancid if it has been sitting there for a week. Flaxseed oil is very fragile and turns toxic quickly if not 'cared' for.
Gaaaawd I miss the Australian language sometimes!Banana
Yee mate !!
LOL - I may say 'chuck', but I am sooooooooo not outback!!!
By the way, I use the melrose brand of oil
I use Biogenic coldpressed virgin flax seed oil, and keep it in the fridge, having just one dessertspoonful a day in a glass of fresh vegie juice. I guess the brands vary according to country, as Biogenic is Australian, as is Melrose.
