While looking through the Sunday paper I came across an aticle in the Parade Magazine insert that was appalling. They featured an article in which Jay Leno bragged about how poorly he eats saying he hasn't had a vegetable since 1969. This is just sad. I wrote a letter to the editor this morning to express my unhappiness with the article.

Isn't Leno the guy always making cracks about how fat Americans are? I mean, he's right, but still...

I'm sure every joke he does is scripted. I doubt anything he says in the opening monologue is his own joke or thought. Pardon my ignoance, but I don't get the comments about Parade magazine and it being a disappointment.

At least it isn't like he has some huge following that try to imitate his lifestyle. He's not in the greatest shape either, so I don't get the fat comments. He's not FAT per se, but the guy has some extra unnecessary weight.

Parade is(was?) a top-shelf mag in the UK.

He says he hasn't eaten a vegetable since 1969 but about two sentances earlier he's said he eats potatoes! Since when was a potato not a vegetable? And if he's eaten all that Italian food, chances are he's had tomato at some point...! So he's a grown man who can't tell fruit & veg apart from meat, that's terrible.
