Default Tobago, Grenada and St Lucia help appreciated

    Hi

I am going to Tobago, Grenada and St Lucia in February 2007 for my honeymoon. I am wondering if anyone can advise me on how easy it is to be a vegan in any of these countries? We will be self catering and I usually take a few things with us but it would be nice to know whether things like soya milk and vegan bread are available locally.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A couple of months back, there was an article in VegNews about a vegan resort in Grenada. I'll try to dig up the issue and let you know what I find. I don't know anything else about that area. Have a wonderful time!

I went to Tobago about 15 years ago. I stayed at a small hotel on Turtle Beach. It was lovely. I was veggie then and had no problem with the food. I was more interested in the rum though!! Have a lovely time.

    Hi Rantipole

I think you might be thinking of The Grenada Lodge. This is a vegan lodge that provides vegan food. We were going to go there until we saw the price and thought it might be cheaper to self cater!

Totally agree with you Redwellies although I think I will need a little bit of food to soak up all the rum!
