Default What have you made out of a vegan cookbook?

As there are regular vegan cookbooks out there that a lot of us own, I thought we could note down any recipes we tried. This is ispired by the fact that I made the best lasagne last night!! I made the Classic Spinich Lasagne in the 'How it Vegan' cookbook and it is a fantastic recipe that I strongly recommend!!
I've also recently tried the Gingerbread recipe in the 'Easy Vegan Cooking' book and it is very good!

I love the pizza recipes in "Vegan Italiano". I don't think you have to be experienced in baking, either. My (quick-rise) crusts have turned out deliciously every time!

i made quiches out of rose elliot's vegan feasts..page 64
i was quite stunned because not only do I not 'do' pastry..ie I don't really like it and I certainly have never made it before..it turned out fabulously..and then even after adjusting the ingredients so it wasn't really recognisable as the recipe, they STILL tasted fab..i served them as little muffin shaped tartlettes and my guest (guinea pig *) declared them 'lovely!'

I love the squash and tomato curry found in "The Global Vegetarian" by Jay Solomon. Also, the corn, pumpkin, and bean stew in there is great. I know I've made more things from this one, but I can't remember them. This isn't a totally vegan cookbook, but it has many good recipes.

I enjoy the chocolate chip cookies, the ginger cookies, the peanut butter brownies, and the black and white cream pie in "Sinfully Vegan" by Lois Dieterly.

    Cheers,

This xmas I made a vegan cheesecake, but changed the base to make it wheatfree so Sooz could eat it as she is gluten free.

One of the first recipes I made from 'La Dolce Vegan' was the Butternut, Ginger and Red Lentil soup. It is GORGEOUS!
