It really annoys me with the new and improved by adding either milk or an egg when they can make t without it in the first place
    shame I liked that cake

Maybe you should all write them a few angry letters about their "improvement".

I wrote to most of the UK supermarkets. All responded (standard response take your comments into consideration but not actually do anything) except ASDA. ASDA are rubbish

    Moan time:

I really love Mangoes. I saw in Asda yesterday "Extra Special" mangoes which did look delicious, 2 for £2.
Nothing "Extra Special" about them, the normal ones at half the price are far far nicer (and twice the size).

Cheap soya milk is now labelled with D2 rather than just D, but it's changed to have a strong added flavour and is very off white.
"Danger" could be my middle name … but it's "John"

Does anyone know if Asda have stopped selling their own meat free 'chicken' style pieces? I noticed they were selling them at 50p a bag. They have a new 'chicken' style product on sale aswell but it has egg in it.

I think they may be gone. This happened a while ago and when they received numerous complaints they were brought back. I will be making my complaint today or tomorrow

I sent Asda an email recently and received this reply:-

    Subject.
    meat free chicken pieces
Response Via Email (Claire Ellson) 17/10/2013
    Hi Sandra

Thank you for your email about our meat free chicken pieces.

I'm sorry you've not been able to find the original version recently. I understand the one you can find doesn't meet your Vegan diet as it contains egg.

I've spoken to our Buyer and they've explained the original one has come off sale so that they make some changes to improve the product quality. We're hoping to put it back on sale early next year and it should be Vegan friendly too.

Withdrawing an item isn't an easy decision for us to make but where we want to improve a product, we will make this decision. We really believe in sourcing grocery items responsibly, without compromising on taste and quality. We’ve invested time developing our Chosen By You, Extra Special and Smart Price ranges to ensure we deliver only the best quality and value for money. This is why we value your feedback.

I trust my email has answered your question. Should you need anything else, please call me or one of my colleagues on 0800 952 0101. Thanks again for your email.

    Kind Regards

Morrisons have some new chicken style pieces that look just like the old Asda ones:
