Today, we tried the coconut and the maple pecan flavours. We put them together in a bowl and topped it with melted chocolate. Tastes divine! if I had to pick the best of the three I've tried so far it must be the maple pecan. The chocolate one is good but too strong for me. I've never been a big fan of chocolate though. I know it sounds crazy!

Yep tried the chocolate one!
Thought it was pretty amazing, and very rich, i could only eat a small amount, i've had to store it down the road, not sure i'll be seeing it again.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Where are you lucky buggers getting this it looks gert lush

witchy - Out of this World is in Beeston, I bet they have it, but I haven't seen it (nor looked though!). I got it on a rare trip to Newark if you're anywhere near there.
If you do live in Nottingham then, this does mean you can save me some hehehe
Well I've only tried the chocolate and wasn't that impressed but my ex thinks it's really good. I will try the other flavours in my HFS - coconut and vanilla but really I don't think you can beat Swedish Glace - the vanilla is only £1.55 in Tesco and the taste is SO great.... and comes in loads of flavours.
I have nothing to declare but my genius - Oscar Wilde
I've tried the chocolate one too - not really for me, it's very cocoaey so good if you like dark choc.
I noticed today the Maple & Pecan and Ginger flavours are 50p more than chocolate or vanilla!
At £5.49 for 500ml, I won't be trying them as I haven't been that impressed with the 'cheaper' ones
(Glace is much nicer I reckon)
It is better slightly melted....
Oooooooooo you little kev sterrrrr you.

The Maple Pecan, which i am eating right now, is pretty sweet.
I ate the whole lot, and not feeling particularly good about it.
That sweet tooth of yours is going to get you into trouble one day y'know!
Blackadder: Baldrick, have you no idea what irony is?
Baldrick: Yes, it's like goldy and bronzy only it's made out of iron.
I tried the maple syrup one yesterday - I prefered it to the chocolate one and will buy it if it come to my area.

I find the chocolate one really rich and can only eat small amounts at a time, I guess that means it will last longer so seems better for the price? My friend who is an omni says it tastes like Gu chocolate pudding and was really suprised buy it being vegan.
The vanilla one sort of taste cashew nutty (yeah I know cause thats what its made with). Its nice but I prefer B'nice vanilla cause its more refreshing.
The maple pecan one is good but to be honest I'm not really into nuts so I'm not that keen.
Ginger one has an interesting flavour, I would definitely buy it again cause its unusual.
The coconut one is my favourite, years ago I used to make coconut ice cream so I was more than pleased when I found out about vegan coconut ice cream .
I agree that its nice when its slightly melted. I feel it has an interesting mousy style rather than a runnyness that other ice creams have. All in all I like it and I would buy it again but I still like B'nice Rice creams the most.
The day breaks and everything is new.
I recently did a taste comparison with the b'nice and the stuff in a tub chocolate flavours - they're both nice enough, but I didn't think the b'nice was any tastier than swedish glace (which is a lot cheaper). I really like the b'nice strawberry flavour though, and definitely think it's nicer than tofutti strawberry (which is the only other vegan strawberry icecream I've seen... oh, maybe Mother Hemp do some as well, I've haven't tried that yet).

I think "less refreshing" and "more mousse-y" than other ice creams is a good description Digital Ghost.

argh! i saw this in a shop the other day and thought "oooh i didn't know booja-booja made ice cream!" and now i can't remember which one. well. i guess i am supposed to be on a diet
Bought the chocolate one the other day, 2 of my kids thought it was too rich. I enjoyed it, made sure to - it cost €9.50
I've just tried the coconut one. I'm not a huge fan of coconut but it was the only flavour they had. I didn't like it!! I didn't like the "bitty" effect of the coconut and the colour was off putting too. And it left a horrible creamy taste in my mouth like dairy icecream! I hope the chocolate one is better. I'm very disappointed after all the excitement.

I quite liked the taste of the coconut one, but it did look rather revolting.

Does anyone know whether it's on sale at Infinity Foods in Brighton yet? I'm not expecting anything spectacular, but I would like to try it.
Am gradually working my way through the pecan one but it's not doing much for me TBH. Still game to try the choc one though!
'The word gorilla was derived from the Greek word Gorillai (a "tribe of hairy women")'
Ditto, I didn't really think it was that special. I could get the same effect by buying vanilla swedish glace and dumping in a bottle of maple syrup IMO.
I am still interested in trying the chocolate one, especially if it out-chocs the fake tasting swedish glace chocolate flavour.
I can't see it justifying the price though, but am more than happy to be proved wrong.
Perhaps they're waiting until the expansion is completed before getting some. I heard it was due to be completed in August but these things sometimes take longer than expected. I can't wait for it to be finished, hopefully they'll expand their range to enclude more vegan stuff. I know it's very good already, but we can't have too much vegan stuff
yeah, hopefully they'll have an even bigger range once they've finished

I found the Chocolate one in Landsdown Health Foods in Lewes. I was even less impressed with it on a second tasting.
I found the Maple Pecan one in Oasis Health Foods in Croydon and this seemed nicer on the second tasting.
I still have to try the other flavours.

The chocolate one is too chocolaty, I want to try the coconut one!!
I wouldn't say it was worth £4.99. Least it seems pretty "healthy" with only four ingrediants.
When I go to America I'll try their fancy flavours see if I like those.

I tried the chocolate and the vanilla ones today. Much better. Mr Kevster was right when he said let the choc one melt a bit. I put some vanilla in a bowl, then the chocolate one on top and let them soften. Very good!!

I saw this stuff in an organic deli type shop / mini supermarket - which also had organic meat etc (on Marylebone High Street I think) for one pound over the normal price!
That's 5.99 and 6.49!

Too chocolatey sounds good....
They have everything except the chocalte in brighton's Sunny Foods, but they're promised to get some for me.
Some stores load prices a lot, it's not like the good old bad old days when you could count the wholefood stores in the UK on the fingers of both hands but they were all cooperatives and sold everything in recycled paper bags or massive containers.....
As for the BB stuff being expensive - well it is, but at least it's not full of cheap crap ingredients. Tofutti is garbage in my opinion and though I don't mind SAwedish Glace theingredients aren't anything either natural or of particularly high quality - the usual industrial stuff, and so is their factory, which is why the prices are less.
None of which of course means I'm actually going to like it when I try it.....
I recently spoke to someone from Beanies and they told me that they were working on getting B'nice rice creams in new flavours.
Apparently they are trying to get coconut, ginger bread, passion fruit and also ice cream sundaes.
I was honest and told them that this did make my day/week.
The day breaks and everything is new.
I had the opportunity yesterday to either buy the bb chocolate or the Rice Cream strawberry, and went for the strawberry.
I can understand that Kevster, personally I never liked strawberry ice cream all that much until I tried B'nice.
I think its cause its got strawberry puree in and taste more like real strawberries I find it so good.
