I like Earl Grey, but I'm trying to be caffeine free at the moment and it;s hard to find one that's caffeine free and fair trade.
Regular old Tetley tea for me.
Peace, love, and happiness.
I like green tea, I drink it during the day. I like peppermint tea after meals, and I also ike camomile and rooibos. On most days I have one black tea with rice milk.
Jamine green tea or peppermint tea, I get the leaves version that is fresher and use an infuser.
What you tolerate, you encourage.
I'm really like black tea and earl grey with sweetened soya milk, or green tea with lemon. I'm not a big fan of white tea.
I've got this really nice Clipper Detox tea at the minute where the main ingredient is rosemary, mmm.
There’s a statue that the abattoir erected to remind us all of their contributions. To me it marks Potemkin City Limits, this Francis cast in bronze.
I adore chai
I need to go buy some.....putting it on my grocery list now

I can't believe I've only just discovered this thread!
I love all sorts of tea, though I mainly drink green tea and really strong chai at home. At work, we have a neverending stock of herbal teas!
Where was this post hiding??! Let's hear it for tea... YEEEEEAAAAHHH!!
Currently sipping a Yogi Choco Spice piece of heaven, but also going through a major phase of Pukka's Pleasure, Love and Revitalise teas. Mmmm. Can't beat good old Fennel tea though.
Also... Tesco have Clipper teas for 99p a box at the moment - liquorice one is fantastic.
Oh, so much happiness from a few dried leaves and flowers and hot water!
I love plain green tea and vanilla green tea
Twinings green fruit tea selection, they are loooovely.

I can't seem to handle caffeine anymore (stupid anxiety disorder), but I love peppermint tea, ginger and lemon tea (with agave nectar if I've got a sore throat) and rooibos tea with soya milk. I also like chocolate chai tea made with rooibos tea, cinnamon and cocoa powder (yes, I know cocoa has caffeine in it, but it's a pretty small amount and it doesn't seem to affect me negatively).
cocoa has caffeine?!
I love herbal teas! My top 3 so far are peppermint, chammomile, and catnip. I'm willing to try anything herbal (and no caffeine---whether it's naturally present or not). Other herbal teas I enjoy are lavender, rosehips, ginger, rooiboos, lemon, etc.
Yes, but not as much as coffee.
The most common sources of caffeine are coffee, tea, and cocoa (and anything containing those substances).
Lots of info on the net...

Most herbal "teas" are caffeine free.
But not green tea as it is the same plant as "tea" but just less processed.

wow, I knew about green/black/white tea, but not chocolate. ta!
i drank chocolate flavoured tea about 4 or 5 times, it's not really my taste, but i don't know why i had to try it more than once, maybe it's not that bad at all
was it the yogi tea brand?
Ooooh not looked on this thread in a while...think i am going to boil the kettle now, going to have green tea with apple infusion.
i'd say no..it's half a year ago, i made a tea-order in the internet with several exotic flavors that i wanted to try out, one of them was chocolate....... i think it was this one...http://www.teegalerie.de/shop/produc...roducts_id=570
Yogi make the most amazing Licorice tea.
My favourite tipple at present is Honeybush* with no milk. It's lovely at the end of the day with some bourbon biscuits to dunk in it.
* it doesn't actually have any honey in it. It's an African caffiene free plant similar to Rooibos.
I bought a lovely bag of loose organic Sencha tea yesterday.
Last time, I accidentally bought some Chinese stuff which wasn't nearly as good.
Japanese tea is my coffee!
Loose tea is better value for money if you like to drink more than 1 (or 2) cups at a sitting. In the morning I make a pot of loose leaf tea (this month I am using 1 teaspoonful Co-op 99 and 1 teaspoonful Hampstead Tea Company Organic Earl Grey) in a pot then brew for a few minutes. But it varies which brand I buy for the pot.
I keep it warm with an extra thick tea cosy.
Then later in the day I will have a few cups of Clipper Organic with tea bags. Its almost always Clipper Organic. I use the tea bag twice. Thats what I am drinking at this moment.
In the evening I have either Yogi Choco, or a peppermint, or some other herbal tea, maybe Redbush. I'm working my way through a big tin of loose leaf Redbush, bought huge quantity loose from Suma ages ago.
As the years go by I notice it becoming harder and harder to obtain loose leaf tea, some shops only have bags.
See my local diary ... http://herbwormwood.blogspot.com/
plus, loose tea is better for the environment because you get less packaging.
and it tastes better as well.
Back to Sencha tonight.
At home now I have these tea:
Loose -
Organic peppermint that was given to my by a friend who had a friend who make it.
Strawberry and Kiwi
Lady of Tahiti (Strawberry and roses)
Irish cream
Bags -
Jasmine
Acai mango
Mandain green
Pomegranate Red Roobios
Vanilla Red Rooibos
I also have access free earl grey, lipton and so on in my cafeteria
I drink bags at work, but I usually decaffeinate it first. As for loose teas, my two huge favourites right now are Darjeeling and Gen Mai Cha.
how do you decaffeinate teas?!
I don't worry about it with loose teas since the caffeine content is something to the effect of a third of what tea bags hold. but for tea bags all you have to do is steep yr tea bag as you normally would for 30 seconds. This gives it time to release all of the caffeine (as that's the first thing to release first). Once that time is up, empty out yr cup and steep the bag into a fresh batch of water and voila! It doesn't take out ALL of teh caffeine I'm sure, but it takes out the vast majority of it.
I'm not a coffee drinker - makes me go haywire. So I drink tea - hence this sister thread to the coffee one.
I know it sounds odd, but maple syrup always seems to be a winner with tea for me (I initially used it as a replacement for honey and then grew fond of it and kept it).
Sounds delicious but it's so expensive!
Lemon, agave, cinnamon, nutmeg...
A nice biccy?
I'll get me coat......
No sense being pessimistic. It wouldn't work anyway.
i do the maple syrup thing too, i don't typically put anything in it though, i feel like it is tainting the tea.
"i'm rejecting my reflection, cause i hate the way it judges me."
I have to have a sweet edge to my tea, otherwise it feels like flavoured water at times - so maple syrup is vital. And it's not all THAT expensive Fuhzy
I've recently discovered a vanilla rooibos tea which is nice (I don't much like the normal rooibos)
I also like flavoured black tea - jasmine, violet, rose, mango etc. I drink all my teas quite weak and with soya milk.

I use brown sugar, as I usually only have tea in restaurants. At home, just sweetened soy milk. Maple syrup is expensive! and delicious.
Each snowflake in an avalanche pleads not guilty.
I use stevia. The bottle was like ten bucks, but two tiny drops will do a whole cup.
i always use the individual packets of maple syrup which come really cheap in bulk... the mountain stuff...yeah. way out of my range.
hrmmm. I usually get all of mine through the co op I'm part of, so I guess that's a slight advantage. But I could see where brown sugar would work just as well...
