Arrow Couple go 'green' to tie the knot ..with vegan menu

A couple are planning to go "green" this weekend with what could be one of the most environmentally friendly weddings in the country....

....Guests will later dine on a vegan menu at the reception at nearby Monikie Memorial Hall.

Thats cool, I think a lot of money and resources can be used in one short day.

I think my wedding was even more environmentally friendly, I wore a dress and wedding ring from e-bay (recycled) and have recycled the dress since.

Why do people who are environmentally friendly always look like that, ie: long hair and beards etc?

Sorry! We both look like that - although I haven't got a beard yet, maybe with a bit of organic fertiliser.......or the menopause

What a happy story! I want my wedding to be like that.

Being the (long haired) cynic that I am - how is using imported dung mixed with recycled paper better for the environment that just recycled paper? Unless the elephant dung came from this country it seems a bit gimmicky to me.

On a side note; I wonder if anyone has ever tried having a wedding via video conference to save on fuel? If the average wedding is £50 a head you could rent decent quality video conferencing gear for the price.
