Why do you 'need' protein? The vegan diet is not deficient in protein.
And if you mean silken tofu an an aseptic pack, that's soft, then yes it's fine to eat 'uncooked'. Tofu is not 'raw' anyway.

Smoked tofu is the nicest one to eat uncooked
The only normal people are the ones you don't know very well

It's safe but probably not a very good way to get into the delicious vegan food... I should think uncooked tofu is quite bland and boring...

Also, Why do you need protein? I do lots of exercise and weight training and I don't find a vegan diet deficient in protein...

Hi - sure, you can absolutely eat it out of the container, but it will taste like, well, not much of anything. Kinda jello-ie. Try a google search for tofu vegan recipe, and go to town! obviously, there will be a lot of asian recipes, hope you like that, but if you're into the western flavors, try looking up seitan recipes (wheat based protein).

You do not need to cook it, it's safe to eat 'raw'.
