does anyone have a recommendation of somewhere (veggie/vegan) for a holiday in France? The Pyrenees would be favourite.
NOT self catering!!

Had you already found this? I don't have any experience with it myself, but it looks nice and if you want they can provide you three meals a day.
How AWESOME is that?!?!? My grandfather, Pierre Etchebarren is completely Basque (which makes me a quarter Basque...half Cherokee...I don't know what the other quarter is)
He grew up in the Pyrenees, moved to the states about 40 years ago and became the head chef at a hotel/casino in Las Vegas...ANYWAYS...we're not that "close" because he seems to be pretty tight-lipped when it comes to personal opinions and emotions. I've never told him that I am vegan partly because we live so far apart, so phone conversations don't really lead to anything related to my diet, and largely because I fear his rejection.
Seeing that there is a vegan/vegetarian resort in the Pyrenees has given me a sort of "break-the-ice" tactic for telling him I'm vegan, and maybe a future place we can vacation together that can maybe infuse both his passion for his home/culture and my passion for a cruelty-free diet! And it looks so beautiful!
Sorry to take this so wildly off-topic...I'm just so EXCITED!
...take it to the bridge...
Wow cruelkitti, that sounds like it'll be one hellava cool vacation!!
Hi there, I am new to the forum and pleased to have found somewhere to share stuff with like-minded people.
We live in a remote village in the mountains of the Pyréneées in south-west France. We have been vegan for almost 2 years, and vegetarian for many years before that.
Amongst many other things that we do, we have two guest rooms in our house, where we are pleased to welcome vegan guests. Anyone interested can look at our website on www.veganholidayfrance.com
It would be nice to hear from anyone else living in this part of the world. We are well integrated into our village life, but the french certainly find it hard (impossible) to understand how and why we eat as we do!
A vegan B&B in France!!...! who would've thought such thing exists. I really liked the pics of your house on your website.
I'm going to France for the month of July to study French in a town called Sancerre in the Loire Valley, but for next year, I'd like to go to your town since I could stay in a vegan B&B.
Are there any good French langauge schools in your town?.......thank you, Mike
'Our town' is a tiny mountain village, 30 minutes drive from the nearest 'town' which in itself is pretty small, although it does have shops and an excellent market. There may be language schools in Toulouse, our nearest city, but that is at least 2 hours drive away. So we may not be the holiday you are looking for, although it is very seriously beautiful here, and peaceful, restorative etc. We do know a couple of french teachers who are happy to do lessons and could arrange something more intensive for a month, if this might be a suitable compromise. You would certainly be very welcome and it's hard not to fall in love with the place. Let us know in good time of your plans because we book up very quickly.
