I'm not a Harry Potter fan, but is "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" the new one or is it out already ??

Anyways, Rubber Ritchie is in it.

He'll be at the Veganforum meetup @ Heart of England Vegan Festival 2005 and the Veganforum meetup @ Bristol Vegan Fayre 2005 amongst other events.

What if he gets an unexpected erection on stage? Boy, that would stand out like a sore thumb...

He came along with a friend and her two daughters one time and did a surprise performance at one of the vegan families parties we had, all the kids and the adults were very impressed. But don't try this at home!

What is his part in the Harry Potter film, does anyone happen to have any more details about that?

That's a shame if it was, but you are probably right. I guess we would have heard more about it if he had ended up in the film.

    Hi everyone,

Rubber Ritchie here. Yes, my part was cut from Harry Potter Golblet of Fire although I did have great fun working on that. I did a piece for Korean tv a few weeks ago. I'll be posting it on my site in a few weeks time. Keep an eye out on myspace for the update. It was annoying. We filmed for 4 days and I mentioned being vegan about 20 times but in the edit there wasn't a mention.

Ha ha, Snaffler, funny you mention Circus of Horrors. I used to be in it! It was my first gig. Nobody in it at the time was vegan although the line up changes a lot. I think the guy who runs Swamp circus is a vegan. COH were animal free when I was with them and when I saw them at the Hackney Empire last year. They do from time to time use snakes like when they were on an Ant and Dec show 2 years ago.

I'll be performing at the Christmas Without Cruelty fair again this year in December. I hope to see you all there.

    Warm wishes,
    Ritchie

Maybe next time you could have it written into your contract that something you say about being vegan has to remain in the final cut? Just an idea, you should have every right to call the shots some of the time, and it should be no hassle for them to agree to it getting a mention unless they really have a strong anti-vegan agenda.

What a shame about the Harry Potter film. They need to bring out a directors cut which includes your part!

Lovely to see you posting here.

It's likely that whatever translator you were working with didn't know what "vegan" meant. Even when shown a dictionary explanation (in Korean), they usually still don't get it at all. And even if they did get it, they wouldn't understand why you kept emphasizing that unless you told them you were able to do contortions BECAUSE you are vegan. So they might have considered it to be irrelevant and just left it out. Though, I still think it's because they didn't understand.

It wasn't really that they didn't understand the word vegan as I used vegetarian a few times for that very reason. The theme of the piece was of me as a funnyman so it didn't really fit.

If you start making too many demands like then people won't want to work with you. I am doing a show for a talent show on bbc 2 next weekend. It will be shown a few weeks after that. Hopefully I can get the V word past the edit!

    Love

I caught his act at an event in London around November last year. It was pretty awesome - well worth seeing if you get the chance.

    Hi Guys

I had a great time doing this show. I was the winner on the Tuesday show being the only person to keep the audience from voting me off for 3 minutes. In the Friday final I made 2 minutes. My aim on these shows is always to mention being vegan. The first show I was asked a silly question 'people bend over backwards to come and see you perform don't they?' That was the only chance I got to speak so it didn't happen. On Friday when I was voted off though, I was asked 'how do you do that' I said through a 'lot of training and a vegan diet.' Brian then chatted to the audience and he said 'He's a good advert for a vegan diet.' I was so happy to get the plug and then for Brian to double it.

I am on another show on Challenge tv in a few weeks. It's a pilot variety show. I think Tony Blackburn is going to be a judge.

I'll try to put the show on the web in a few weeks. Here's the Korean show I did.

Ha ha, nice one, i especially watched the programme to catch your act. Very good, i had to mute some of the other stuff though, that girl band? I am sure they weren't even singing!
