    Default What to do with a mooli (giant radish) ?

    was given this today and don't quite know what to do with it 0.o
    Any ideas?

    Thats one of my favorite vegetables

    You could chop it up and add it to vegetables soup, potato mash or fry it together with potatoes, tofu and a spice mixture.

    It's a mooli, or giant radish. You can slice it or grate it and have it in a salad.

    I know about them because one of my friends at university was traumatised when a greengrocer brandished one at her in a lewd manner.

    at beer festivals in Bavaria they are spiral-cut on a gizmo that makes them looks like a long accordion and sprinkled liberally with salt.

    When I used to get an organic box of fruit and veg delivered I had one of those in the box.
    I thought it was a carrot that was very pale for some reason, shame!

    I just chopped it up and put it in vegetable soup. It wasn't that big though.
