I guess the best way to describe it, is partially puréed corn. It's really popular here. Some people make it, but you can buy it in a tin at any grocery store (which is what I did).
you can buy creamed corn in supermarkets emzy, at least you used to be able to.
don't know what the contents are though, milk product etc. i'll see if i can find some again.

Mostly, I love it on toast, with salt & pepper.
ooo what a coincidence, as i have just bought some today!!!
iv been looking for it for ages as i want to make chinese sweetcorn soup, and we dont have it in our normal supermarkets. its not very common in england at all!
managed to find some today at an international food shop... yay! only 60p for the can too!
i read the ingredients on the tin and it was pretty much just sweetcorn, water, starch and salt... not too fancy

How strange, sometimes when I look for canned corn here all I can find is creamed corn! its yummy but kinda weird at the same time.

Haha, great! wow, we should get more non-vegans to look at this thread...
Definitely. And he is the worst kind of non-vegan you could imagine, doesn't eat ANY fruit or veg, and his cooking is restricted to pressing a microwave button All he eats are ready-made meals. I might have to cook a really nice vegan dinner for him.

I haven't had creamed corn for decades, but having read Roxy's comment about liking it on toast in that other thread I looked for it while shopping to check out what makes it "creamed". I looked at a, er "tin" (we'd call it a "can" here) and the best I could tell the ingredient that does it is corn starch. Absolutly no dairy to be found, of course, and I wasn't looking in the health food section, mind you. I guess when they say "creamed" they mean "pulverized", not "with added cream". Maybe some do have cream, of course, so as always check the label.

Simple is sometimes the best ay? Wholemeal rice with soy sauce, steamed carrots and brocolli with basil infused tofu!
Two frys sausages, baby spinach, roasted leeks, kale and asparagus!
This one is a tad blurred but I was sooo hungry I had to eat it! So spicey bean burger, spinach and iceberg lettuce with grated cheezly, kale, onions, garlic, parsnips and carrots with soy sauce!
The taste of anything in my mouth for 5 seconds does not equate to the beauty and complexity of life.
ah. youre making me hungry,
my parents are renovating the kitchen, so i've had to live off of raisins, bread, and canned mushrooms for the past three days. haha.
