Cedar, It's in Veganomicon, and not on the internet that I know of (yet) so I don't think I should. Get Veganomicon though! It's great.

I was in a mood for making homemade seitan today. Here is a picture of it sliced up. I plan on stir frying it in the sauce and eating it over veggies and rice.

Do you buy it or make it yourself? What foods would you traditionally have it with? I myself like hot and spicy food so I'd certainly try it but I've never seen it for sale. Fill us in.

My mom buys it for me at a Bosnian food store nearby.
i'm not really sure where else you'd buy it.

but i usually eat it on bread like a spread and i sometimes put tofu slices on it too. i sometimes eat it like a sauce or rice too.

if you like hot and spicy food, they also make spicy ajvar.

i'll take a picture of the one i usually buy and i'll post it later.

Mmmm this Ajar stuff sounds yummy! I should be able to find it somewhere here. Luton has a big immigrant population with lots of speciality shops. I'll just ask around.

You know I brought VCCTOTW book last year and have not used it apart from to read and go wow to the photos in it

Ive never had much joy cooking cakes with oil find soya marg better but high time i tried the recipes out as those cup cakes look sooooo good

This is the url to the peanut butter bar recipe. It would not let me copy and paste the actual recipe.
Next time I make these, I'm going to cut the amount of margarine in half. It just seemed "too rich" somehow, especially the chocolate topping. (I can't believe I said something was too rich ) Today, I'm going to eat the rest this...if no one beats me to it.
