Blackadder: Baldrick, have you no idea what irony is?
Baldrick: Yes, it's like goldy and bronzy only it's made out of iron.

oh dear. sorry for the hugeness. but anyway, these are 'fauxstess cupcakes' that i made from vwav, the icing is chocolate-orange. i had them with swedish glace vanilla, they were yummy.
and this was also from vwav, spinach and chickpea curry, served with rice.
I had the yummiest pizza last night, i just had to share:
Peppers, cherry tomatoes, aubergines, courgettes and 'cheese'. With a sprinkle of salad leaves on the side, to balance it out somewhat
That pizza looks so good. I had Dominos last night myself but it got eaten mysteriously before I had time to get my camera out.
JC you can go to 'edit' on photobucket and resize your pics

Mmm love the strawberry cupcakes, Poison Ivy!

I had this for dinner earlier, thai red curry with coconut milk rice. It was so delicious, I have never had it before. The red curry paste was from a jar but I looked at the ingredients and I think I will make it from scratch next time.
Bangers, mash, peas and gravy. It might look gross but it tasted lovely!
I am going to a vegan restaurant later this week so will try and take a picture of what I have. I think I will definitely get a dessert when I'm there.
Confusion - I want that pizza. Now. What kind of 'cheese' was it?
Aphro - gorgeous looking rice. And are those Linda McCartney saussies I see poking out of le mashed potato?

What I'm calling Bananas Foster Cupsidedowncakes. Recipe from My Sweet Vegan. The cupcakes didn't poof up like I wanted, so I turned 'em upside down, trimmed off the muffin top, and frosted the bottom. These are ridiculously moist.

the quiche looks awesome!
Aww, I'll have to use Cheezley - can't get Tofutti Mozarella around here.A couple of slices of Tofutti Mozarella crumbled up and grated on. Was my first experience of vegan cheese on a pizza, so glad it worked.
Thought so - seriously I have some kind of method of sensing LM sausages, then snaffling them up before anyone knows what's going on heheThe rice was so very yummy, yes LM sausages!

Jambo, that salad looks incredible! Did you make that blackened tofu yourself? Wow!
I made my husband homemade buckwheat pancakes:
God I could go for some pancakes...
Ooh fantastic - I think I may do some for breakfast
Nope, that salad was from a restaurant. I haven't figured out how to do blackened tofu quite like that yet.
Here's a salad I did make, though. Romaine, shredded carrot, cucumber, sauteed mushrooms, peppers, black beans & corn w/ chili & lime, avocado, cilantro, scallions, lime zest and spicy Mexi-ranch dressing.

Very spicy chunky curry, with creamed coconut.
Cant.
Feel.
Tongue.
Oooh, now I know what I'm making for dinner later. How do you get your rice to go all neat like that, what do you use?
i want pancakes. i was going to make some this morning, but we didn't have any soy milk and it was tipping it down. ah well, maybe tomorrow!
amanda
I place each grain, one by one, into a pile and then press it into place with my tongue. It takes a long time.
I suppose if you're lazy you could press the rice into a measuring cup or similar and then turn onto the plate
Re milk and pancakes. You could make nut milk if you don't have any soy milk. Soak the nuts (almond or hazelnuts work well) for as long as you have time to .. then blast in the blender with some water and strain off the resulting nut milk. You can then use the leftover nuts to use in rissoles or cutlets or nut loaf.
this is the first time i ever attempted this and it came out pretty damn good!
curried tofu "chicken" salad. i used sesame peanut tofu and mixed in raw walnuts, raisins, pink lady apple and of course veganaise. i added garam masala, curry, and cumin. i didnt feel like having it on bread because i was in the mood for some crunch.

burmese curry from The Asian Vegan Kitchen, incredibly good and incomparable to any other curry I've had so far (and I'm a girl who knows her curries):
basic "friends coming over" mezze mix and couscous salad:
Chocolate tray refrigerator cake. Full of cherries, almonds, biccie, chocolate, golden syrup, pecans and almonds. Beware... very moreish!
Oh my...
I surrender. I guess I eat too healthy for this thread.
Crispy thin crust pizza topped with garlic-herb aioli and mushrooms and caremalised onion and garlic. Could have eaten two of them ... soooo tasty.
Aradia, between that chocolate cake and the pizza i am drooling over here! do you create your own recipes?
i think i must attempt something chocolatey today now...haha!

Most kind, thank you
Yes I do make a lot of recipes up ... I made up the choccy thing, but the pizza was heavily influenced by the Millenium restaurant recipe book. The aioli was theirs and it was A-maz-ing *drools*
Mmmmm, I need to make some curry! Aradia, that Chocolate tray refrigerator cake looks so rich and tasty!
Orange Banana Bread (made with a combination of buckwheat flour, whole wheat pastry flour and cornmeal) with vanilla soy yogurt and blueberries
