"I don't want to live on this planet any more" - Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth
Thanks!
Indeed. It was a paper for a philosophy class simply named Ethics. I used Albert Scweizer, Peter Singer and David Lindsey to argue for inclusion of animals within our ethical considerations. I'll try to pm the paper to you if you're interested. I warn you... its 23 pages long! And this sounds like an interesting topic for a paper. Was it a philosophy class? Might I be able to read it?

Ohhh, excellent looking noodles!

yes, lovely noodles, hope you didn't BBQ them!
had noodles today in brixton, too:
miso ramen
fried soba with lots of ginger
We went to the King William IV pub near Royston today and had the following:
Bread with oil and balsamic:
BB had ratatouille filled mushrooms with a herb crust:
I had sauage, mash and gravy:
My Dad had a non vegan pie but it came with the greatest chip basket:
haha, that's a posh looking plate of bangers and mash!
I love the chips basket, that's amazing!!
mmmm bangers and mash... and noodles.
I recieved a vegan care package and ate so much delicious junk yesterday, but of course for got to take a picture, and now it's all gone save a few fizzy belts. I wanted to save it and eat everything slowly, however it was the wrong time of the month for that
I see a veganchef viewing the thread... hope you have pics to share soon
Each snowflake in an avalanche pleads not guilty.
I don't get the attraction of the chip basket, I wouldn't be any more pleased about being served that than I would getting my soup served to me in a saucepan.
The rest of the food looks great though.

I went out to The V Spot in Brooklyn, NY over the weekend and the food was sooooo good, top five best dinners ever. The service was absolutely horrible but the food made up for it. Oh, and we ate outside on the back patio which was nice.
Plaintain chip nachos. The mock chili was seasoned so well.
Sesame tofu and vrown rice. The tofu was so flavorful, I wish I could cook it like this!
Whole wheat lasagna. It was a little spicy and the menu didn't say it would be but the sauce tasted very fresh and again it was spiced so well!
Fluffy Peanut Butter Mousse Cake. I'm a sucker for anything pb and chocolate but this was phenomenal. I'm not a very good photographer, it looked nicer than this before I ate it all
^ I went there! I have to get those nachos if I ever go again... mm...

All of that looks really tasty timberly, I need to check that out.
This all looks great! Jambox, you're looking particularly good, as usual
Haha, thanks Roxy! Timberly, that restaurant does look great, I'd never heard of it before.
whole wheat fettuccine, marinara & beanballs from VCON w/ broccoli & walnut parmesan

"If the System hates you, be aware that it hated me before it hated you." -Jesus (John 17:11).
Lord P - that looks wholesome and delicious. All the food looks fab. Timberly - that food looks lush especially those plantain chip nachos.
I made nachos today with bean chilli in the centre, it was really yummy:
I made this ages ago, sorry if I already posted it:
This is what I had watching a Wimbledon match. Strawberries and a jug of fruity cocktail. (Vodka, cranberry and orange juice if anyone is interested.)
All these nachos are inspiring dinner tonight!!
How funny LordP! I made the same meal.
Baked Potato with Greens soup and Eggplant Muffaletta:

We found mock duck in a asian market and have been experimenting.
Here it is with steamed veg over vermicelli:
and a stir-fry:
My bf made this yummy salad with baked bbq tofu. It was delicious!

It all looks nice Ruby (except the mock duck, I can't stand that stuff. I think it's the appearance of it I don't like, rather than the taste. It looks too real.)
I meant to say I like the chip basket too, it was cute.
I made this as well, I love coleslaw:
That looks lovely BlackCats. I haven't looked through the other pages on this thread but is that your own coleslaw recipe?
If so can I have it?
I like Sandra, she keeps making me giggle. Daft little lady - Frosty
It's not a very complicated recipe Sandra, just grated white cabbage, grated carrot and a little bit of grated white onion and a big spoonful of plamil mayo and black pepper and onion salt to taste. (I will probably be making it in a minute now I have thought about it!)
Thanks BlackCats...............I've seen various recipes for coleslaw and some of them use vegan cream (I didn't like it much in coleslaw) so I'll give yours a go! Plus, I've never used onion salt in it...........I'm all excited now about making this tomorrow after I've been to the shops!

Did you get the recipe from Veganomicon? And awesome book. I sort of put the mufulleta and soup together by accident (had some left over mufulleta from the day before) but found out that they go really well together! Looks really good! I'm sort of wishing right now I hadn't finished off that soup in one day (well, I had help).
"If the System hates you, be aware that it hated me before it hated you." -Jesus (John 17:11).
I used the recipes in vcon, but subbed a lot of it for what i had. Pretty funny we both put the two recipes together at around the same time!

I want nachos now!!
Ruby and Lord P, both your matching meals look awesome.

Helen - I love the ratatouille filled mushrooms with a herb crust and the chips in their chip basket. Looks like a great place for vegan food!
Timberly - everything you had looks great as does the stir fry you made, Ruby
BlackCats - I like your plate with the faux hot dog!

I can't figure out the perspective of the chips in the basket... How can see the bottom of the basket?

still... it looks weird
Each snowflake in an avalanche pleads not guilty.
What have you got with those nachos Ruby? It looks like something you would get served in a restaurant. Yum.
thanks
it's tofu scramble with taco seasoning added, plus mushrooms, onions, peppers, soy sauce, balsamic, cumin, s&p. cooked the black beans the same way but w tomatoes instead of the other veg.
put a scoop of each in a raddicchio leaf with lettuce salad mix underneath. was craving portabello so baked one of those too- recipe from vcon. topped everything with raw onion, jalepenos, blk olives, cilantro, tofutti sour cream and store bought guac n salsa.
There's no cheese so I suppose it's more like taco salad than salsa, but whatever. It hit the spot.

That's so weird, we made nachos this week too!!!
weird! it's like the universe has aligned

Now I'm sad that I did NOT make nachos this week. Looks so good!

^ The hot dog was a Fry's one. I asked my husband if they tasted like the "real thing" and he said they did. The last time I ate a real hot dog was when I was about 14 years old.
Nacho fever on this thread. I have had nachos four days this week.
Everything looks good...especially everyone's nachos!
Vegetable wat over homemade injera bread (both from Vegan Lunchbox) with Ethiopian potato salad
Pasta Shells stuffed with cashew/tofu ricotta and spinach (Skinny Bitch), sauteed green beans and mushrooms
Mango Ginger Tofu with Coconut Rice (VWAV) with steamed broccoli
tabbouleh-bouleh
Black Cats where do you get Frys products from sorry to be a pain!
Holland and Barrett or any health food shop usually have Fry's products in the freezer section. You can order them from somewhere like Goodness Direct but I haven't tried that myself. http://www.goodnessdirect.co.uk/cgi-..._8___380g.html
I had this earlier, it was a Fry's schnitzel with chilli fried potatoes, veggies and lots of parsley sauce.
Cheers BC I get stuff from GD from time to time, will go and check. That dinner you have just made looks GORGEOUS btw.....I'm hungry now so off to make mine!
Just checked GD and I remember them now! We had the fake chicken burgers last time and they were very nice. Never saw all this list of food though! THANKS AGAIN!
